You so miss the point. People are upset with those saying racism is a significant problem. People are crying racism over and over in cases that absolutely have NOTHING to suggest there was racism. Whether it is George Floyd, Jacob Blake, Rayshard Brooks, or Breonna Taylor, these are all being held up as examples of why our country is racist and yet there isn't ANYTHING to suggest that race had anything to do with these situations.

People are upset because our country is being unfairly painted as a racist country.

BTHO Racism is playing into the BLM movement's narrative that the US is a racist country. Might as well put BHTO Nazis. Nazis are bad too.

We're gonna yell "BTHO Vanderbilt" today too, even though we all know Vanderbilt isn't a significant problem. I have a Maroon Out t-shirt somewhere that says "Strength in Unity."

When that thread about BYU wearing a t-shirt that says "Love One Another", I sure didn't see protests. I just saw a lot of blue stars.

You realize BLM was around far before George Floyd as was racism. Those claiming racism isn't a significant problem Is the same as rape isn't a significant problem or drug abuse isn't a significant problem... The fact that it exists at all IS the significant problem. Just like MADD or the "this is your brain on drugs movements of the 80s and 90s" it will shine a light in issues but not solve any problems

Picking a side on a statue, since that's your example, isn't life or death. There are bigger things to worry about than a statue on campus or a patch on a jersey.
