Two Aggie pilots will fly F-35A fighters over Kyle Field before Saturday's football game vs. Vanderbilt. The flyover, set for 15 minutes before kickoff, is presented by the U.S. Air Force's 56th Fighter Wing out of Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The F-35A Lightning II is the Air Force's newest, fifth-generation fighter.

Call me a toddler then. I'm a private pilot and the fastest plane I've flown is a Mooney. I can only imagine what it must be like to fly the F 35.

Now then we REALLY would have to worry about that one staying together. I was a young pup outta A&M when I did structural sizing on the aft fuselage of that pig.

BTW - don't look for any afterburner. The acoustic fatigue spectrum on the empennage is tough and afterburner is limited for some specific instances and regions of the V-n diagram.
