Kid has the size to be something special. He is in The Woodlands, so he will every opportunity to show what he can do with some quality players and coaches around him.

But 8th grade film.....come on man. My sons 7th and 8th grade highlights were basically as impressive, but no one ever recruited him to play QB in college (he did end up on a baseball scholarship....). My point is the competition in 8th grade is a joke for kids who have a developed trait.

Having said that, can't wait to watch him develop and compete. Kid looks legit!

This is everything that is wrong with athletics and parents with kids playing sports. Let him be a kid and have fun. If he is good enough he will get the opportunity to play at the next level. People criticizing a 14 year old kid on a public forum for not being the next great QB is disturbing.

Being bald. Keep it as long as can. Hair does not make the QB the brain & arm does.

After spending the season to this point as the JV QB as a freshman he played on varsity this past week. He is now the first 9th grade QB to play on varsity in The Woodlands HS history. Big 6A school.

Is making highlight film of 8th graders really a thing? Seems like little more than ego-stroking since whoever is on film (AS AN 8TH GRADER) still has 4 years before graduating high school, and all the changes that happen over that time both physically and mentally. I mean, at 6'5" and 200+ pounds in 8th grade, there's going to be some hilarious footage due to the massive size discrepency (there is, from the 45 seconds I watched) but c'mon people, the film's on 8th graders.

Kid has some talent and you can tell he hasn't grown into his body yet so he should get better. One thing; that 4.6 40 time must have been 30 yards. He can get there one day no doubt.

Yeah that kid can throw a 50+ yard ball in 9th grade.. his release is fine. It will speed up as he grows into his body. That kid is seriously talented.

Arch is probably Clemson, then bama, then possibly Ags. Gives no indications, just 'net rumors.

Once an Ag QB makes a breakout for Jimbo and he gets his QB whisperer rep back, they will come.

The freshman QB Mettauer passed for 1 and rushed for another touchdown today against 6A Conroe. He played through out the game and grinded out the win in the 4th in a 3 point victory.

Already looking like one of the best offensive weapons for The Woodlands as a 9th grader.

Will be fun to watch him over the next few years. By the time he graduates his game will be "tight."
