These are great. They have everything you need in terms of recognizability, the block ATM is perfectly known. I don't mind the lettering on the chest I prefer nothing but if you have it, better to make it big and readable.

You'll be able to look at game footage in these 20, 30 years from now and nothing will jump out as dated or "of a particular era." IMO, that's what you want with uniforms.

Pros:

No Bevel on the number

Con:
No Texas outline in the logo

Toss up
No shoulder stripes

Near perfect. Clean. Simple.

The team makes the jersey. It's not the other way around.

so why are we calling them new?

This is literally what Kevin Sumlin started with. and now we are rebranding it with barbed wire accents and calling it new.

I am not hating on the style, but lets call a spade a spade.

Penn State historically doesnt have their school name, their players names, and in the past did not even have a school logo on their uniforms until they added a tiny one above the numbers (they briefly also did have player names under Bill OBrien I think). The plain white helmet with only a stripe is by definition generic, but it is also unique since no other schools are really going to that extreme level of plainness.

Alabama's helmets also have a very unique design feature you dont see with other programs. It would be very easy to distinguish them with their brands removed.

But maroon pants and white jersey is our best uni. combo IMHO.

Except for the helmet and logo, my high school's unis are exactly like the ones we just jettisoned. Right down to the beveled numbers. That was just alma mater overkill.

People who hate this uniform were the same people who were fans of the T-star logo.

"Hey, let's throw old army a little bone. Maybe they'll get distracted enough to stop griping about how ignorant some of our 'student' athletes are."

Players seem to like them, so thats all that matters. Dont know why some of you want us to be Oregon with weird af uniforms. These are clean and simple

Big 12 has boring uniforms? Hmm... OU and t.u have stuck pretty close to the same uniform which looks classic. OU has a some alternates but nothing boring. Baylol has tried their hardest to be the Oregon of Texas with all their glitzy stuff. Tceh, TCU, and Oklahoma St have had all sorts of weird stuff.

UT-Aus has a metallic logo on their helmets during the tan Fran era before they ran the black man out of town in a much shorter time frame than most schools.

Ou has enhanced the paper clip logon extremely large on the helmet to compensate on the smartest kid in SPED conference. Meanwhile tu fans complain about the light orange vs traditional baby poop orange. They've also changed the font and doubled the side of the Texas font. Like the state of Texas on their court.
They're going through our little brother dog days of the 2000's and we've moved on. It won't ever be like it was again. Thank god we hate direction and woke up.

I've been looking at the uniforms more and more since they released and I'm starting to dislike them very fast. Literally all they needed to do was take the 90s throwbacks and make them permanent, the numbers on these new ones are way too big and same with the TEXAS A&M on the front

Are we ready to talk about our new "barbwire accent" numbers and how some of them look like they are from a grab bag of multiple different stencil sets purchased from Michael's?
