Vegas money says that come November 4, the virus goes away.
Are you sure vegas money is not a nickname for your crazy uncle on Facebook? Conventional wisdom from immunologists is that in November there will be a second wave of COVID likely on top of the normal flu.
Conventional wisdom from immunologists, huh?
They've been right SO many times the last 4 months, haven't they?
Well considering we are relying on immunologists to develop and test therapies to prevent death and a vaccine to prevent the spread of the disease I'd say they have done a pretty good job so far considering this is a novel virus and they are figuring it out on the fly. Where do you get your advice?
Ooohhh so we're figuring it out on the fly?
That's cool. Why should I listen to their "conventional wisdom"? It will be changed next week/month anyway, the same way it's been done time and time again.
Were these the same immunologists who said one group of protestors caused a COVID some whole another similar group didn't?
They are the ones who are developing and testing therapies that could save your life if you contract the virus and they are also the ones who will develop a vaccine that will make this thing go away. So yea we are all counting on them including political wingnuts like you.
two different groups
you are conflating immunologists and epidemiologists. Immunologists do as you are saying. The others are the ones who have been wrong, consistently, for the last two decades vis a vis public health threats including COVID, Ebola, Swine flu, etc., etc. It's not necessarily political, they just haven't gotten it right.
There were NEVER going to be "millions" dead from this. History and science bear this out. do some research on the history of viral epidemic modeling and and prediction made during the last several instances. Their models don't hold water.
