Winning the ACC is a lot easier than winning the SEC...so saying Swinney is a consistent conference winner is not saying much. The entire conference is bad right now except Clemson.
Dabo would not make it through the SEC West unscathed each year.

You forgot Jimbo also won a natty.

And to win the SEC West 3 times every 8 years would be great given the programs in what is the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football.
So far, Jimbo is moving along fairly well with recruiting and winning at a pretty good rate for Sumlin holdovers.

Our chances of winning the ACC are much higher than winning the SEC. However, we have the coach and the recruiting looking positive. Maybe the transfer portal can get us a QB like Burrows one day? LOL!

Not sure what winning the ACC has anything to do with A&M....but Clemson would just have a lot tougher road in the SEC West.
Maybe you folks forget....but if not for a VERY questionable couple of calls against Ohio State Dabo and Clemson would not have even been in this game.
Ya'll know that.

Dabo has now beaten Ohio State 3 times in bowl games...LSU twice with one loss (last night), Alabama twice and Oklahoma once

Clemson has beaten Auburn the last three times they've played and obviously A&M the last two and have split with Georgia the last two games

Clemson gets Notre Dame next year...Georgia again in 2024 and LSU in 2025 and 2026

It's real. Now, granted, he plays it up, the "little ole' Clemson. Clemson has been a southern football power for a long time. Given they play in the ACC they don't get as much respect as UGA (closest SEC program) or Bama, so he plays up that angle.

But Dabo is a good guy and is genuine.

'Disingenuous' might be the wrong word, because I think he believes his own schtick. If you listen to the things he says, however, I stand by the Calvin Candie comment. He believed in himself, too.
