Highland (KS) Community College CB Brian George commits to Texas A&M
There is nothing like a big surprise leading up to signing day, and once again Jimbo Fisher and his staff pulled off a big one right before Signing Day when Highland Community College CB Brian George announced his commitment to the Aggies Tuesday morning.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound George is a physical corner with elite cover skills. His combination of size and speed made him one of the nation’s top JUCO corners, and he is highly coveted by across the country.
He is the third cornerback in Texas A&M’s 2020 class, joining Jaylon Jones and Joshuah Moten from the high school ranks, and he is the 22nd member of Texas A&M’s class.
Cornerback coach Maurice Linguist led the Aggies’ efforts with George choosing the Aggies over offers from the likes of Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, Miami, Georgia, Florida and Oklahoma.
As a sophomore, George recorded 26 tackles, 1 FR, 6 PBUs, and 95-yard kickoff return on his way to First Team All-Jayhawk Conference and Second Team NJCAA All-American honors.
Billy Liucci discussed A&M’s latest addition on TexAgs Radio soon after the news broke.
