That's fine if he wants to declare early but chickens*it to skip the bowl game. It's only money dude. Aren't some things more important to you than money (like loyalty)?

So he couldn't have waited a couple of weeks to declare and play one more game.
Once he decided to go pro, playing in a meaningless bowl game and risking injury and potentially alot of money, makes no sense.

Best of luck to him.

Give me a break, less than 10 guys out of thousands have had any meaningful injuries in a bowl game that affected their draft position and of those most of them still made loads of money in the nfl. People will point to a few guys that got injured like Jaylon Smith but he still came out fine and made a bunch of $ in the nfl and says he has no regrets playing in the bowl game.

Society has become so scared of everything that now football players that play many college game without much of an issue think they suddenly will get hurt in 1 game losing a bunch of money. If bowl games are so meaningless then why did they play in any of the other games? Heck why not sit out the entire year?

If you are projected to go high in the draft and are so scared of getting hurt then get insurance and play for your team.

AP released their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd All-American teams today.

Madubuike did not make it

He was 2nd All SEC. Those awards are subjective. Madabuike got 5.5 sacks even though he was constantly doubled on passing downs.
