That's fine if he wants to declare early but chickens*it to skip the bowl game. It's only money dude. Aren't some things more important to you than money (like loyalty)?
Give me a break, less than 10 guys out of thousands have had any meaningful injuries in a bowl game that affected their draft position and of those most of them still made loads of money in the nfl.
