IF, and that's a big IF, we were matched with tu for the bowl game, It would not be close.

Need I remind anyone that tu has NO pass rush. They are on par with a Mississippi or SC team. The game plan would be simple. Ball control, lots of rushes eating up plenty of yards, and the WR corps shredding the tu secondary with Mond having plenty of time to throw.

On defense, we would shut down their already anemic run game, make Ehlinger one-dimensional, and eat him alive with pressure/blitzes.

We got hammered yesterday because we were beaten soundly in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and gave Burrow - the future Heisman winner - plenty of time to pick apart our secondary..

Texas would not be so lucky. If that game is given to us, we eagerly take it and destroy the tu narrative.

Maybe. But we've known all year that they'd be a matchup nightmare for us. Good news is we don't play them again. We'll just have to watch them hoist the MNC trophy.

Our o-line is undisciplined and weak and we still have problems with open field tackling on D. While weak in other areas, t.u. Does not appear to have corresponding weaknesses in fundamentals. We would lose by a score or two. Why pile that in to this season's disappointment?

Game times are ALWAYS subject to change. MONEY dictates all.

The A&M/tu game is not a game of national interest and it wasn't when the game was played. It never had national title implications and rarely if ever was the conference title settled with this game.

The bowl schedule would not be changed because of this matchup.

Honestly, this is about the only matchup that I would be interested in seeing.

If we go to the Texas bowl and play tu it sells out. If we play anyone else it doesn't sell out.


And the game on TV would be billed as "...the return of one of the greatest rivalries in college football." The game would sell out in a heart beat and the TV revenue would be huge.


The ONLY way I wouldn't go to this game is if somehow the damn thing got moved to Arlington. Sure as hell would not put money in that guys pocket.
