Nice tee up, Bo - That was early in the year, and LSU did not play their best game of the year.Bo Darville said:
Expect someone to retort that LSU and Texas was closer and that the transitive property applies to football.

#6 would destroy our secondary. It would be a close game.

Per O's post game remarks, they did that last night.

All depends on how much money the conferences get to make it happen!
Maybe. But we've known all year that they'd be a matchup nightmare for us. Good news is we don't play them again. We'll just have to watch them hoist the MNC trophy.Lateralus Ag said:jrdaustin said:Nice tee up, Bo - That was early in the year, and LSU did not play their best game of the year.Bo Darville said:

Too bad for LSU. They peaked too early. They could have beaten us with their 10th best game of the year.

No sip........beating a GOOD team in a bowl game would salvage this season. Unfortunately, whether we play the dildo boys or not, we're just not playing a good team in bowl season. This year is already the meh burger most predictedlevypantsEOY said:Reno Hightower said:

And some Aggies reek of fear and angst.
Beating the sips in a bowl game is the only way to salvage this lame season.
I wish someone had told them that before KSU or Wake Forest...Stud Cantrell said:
As always, SEC will consider the best possible outcome for all potential bowl matchups and determine the best possibility of favorable outcomes for our teams. They won't let us be humiliated by a lesser opponent.

IF, and that's a big IF, we were matched with tu for the bowl game, It would not be close.
Need I remind anyone that tu has NO pass rush. They are on par with a Mississippi or SC team. The game plan would be simple. Ball control, lots of rushes eating up plenty of yards, and the WR corps shredding the tu secondary with Mond having plenty of time to throw.
On defense, we would shut down their already anemic run game, make Ehlinger one-dimensional, and eat him alive with pressure/blitzes.
We got hammered yesterday because we were beaten soundly in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and gave Burrow - the future Heisman winner - plenty of time to pick apart our secondary..
Texas would not be so lucky. If that game is given to us, we eagerly take it and destroy the tu narrative.

You're joking, right?
MONEY is the reason that this match up is VERY likely. Whatever bowl was able to pull this off would very likely make more money than any bowl outside of the major "New Year's Six".
It could be the Toilet Bowl and it would sell out, and one of the major networks would air it in PRIME TIME, where it would draw a massive audience.
I GUARANTEE YOU Jerra is already trying to figure out how to get this played in his stadium.

You know that all the broadcasting and kick times are already set, right?

The A&M/tu game is not a game of national interest and it wasn't when the game was played. It never had national title implications and rarely if ever was the conference title settled with this game.
The bowl schedule would not be changed because of this matchup.
