Thank you for this! No matter where I'm at I try to represent Texas A&M in the best way possible. I've got thick skin and a cool head so I plan on enjoying myself.

If by some miracle we win this game, I feel like OP and the other's that went to this will be treated as the sacrificial lambs on the walk home to the car.
I think that's great advice! I was planning on doing exactly that. I heard from an lsu grad that if you can have fun with the chirping that the swamp kitty faithful will likely invite me to have some food. Love your outlook on the game! BTHOlsuMCMXCVII said:
Typically, in situations like this if you go in expecting the worst then you'll get exactly that. Show up. Relax and enjoy the experience. Bring some thick skin because they talk s**t but just laugh it off and talk a little right back (in other words, don't be a submissive b**ch but don't pick a fight either).
Go and expect to have fun, eat good and have an interesting away game experience. It will be fun walking out of the stadium after we upset them.
It's Bayou Classic weekend in New Orleans. The crowd for that is so rough, even most of the strip joints on Bourbon Street close for the weekend. DO NOT go to New Orleans.Geauxtigers225 said:
I'm also a current student at TAMU. Also a life long LSU fan born and raised in Baton Rouge. I would recommend going to Nola the Friday before the game. Then head over to campus early the day of. You can't go wrong with any of the tailgate spots around the stadium. Yes you will get Tiger Baited but you will also get fed amazing food and drink all you want. Of course there are some *******s just like any school but 95% of the people there will be very welcoming. After the game I'd head to any of the bars at tigerland. Goodluck and be safe!!!!
Did I not mention they were sensitive about the whole smelling like a corn dog issue.psybj said:
re Corn Dog Thing, we can't understand that. Our tailgates often have Gumbo, Jambalaya, Etoufee, Crawfish Bisque, Boudin etc etc.
NOBODY ANYWHERE HAS BETTER FOOD.
We suspect you are smelling your upper lip.

I never said that I was scared. I'm simply trying to gather opinions so I can make the best decisions. I thought the short hair might draw attention, that's all.

That's cause UGA hardly ever visits lol. I had season tickets from 1990-2013 on row 1 in Tiger Stadium. I've seen it all. If you are the least bit over the top you will get harassed. If you wear your colors and cheer for your team you most likely will be ignored unless you happen to be in the middle of the student section. If you wear your colors and say **** you to LSU fans, watch out lol.psybj said:
Get on campus early, smile, wear Ag stuff and approach tailgaters friendly. You will be treated well altho some drunks may say something obnoxious. You are safe.
As a grad of LSU and UGA, I live in BR and have LSU season tix. For fun with my friends I wear Red and Black etc when UGA visits.
My experience has always been positive altho a few drunks or kids might make comments.
LSU is a great trip. People are fine. Have fun and do not ignore this guy's advice.Anonymous Source said:

I live in Nashville and it's crazy how many fake supporters of Bama/LSU/UGA here in TN with barely a high-school diploma, yet they are the loudest and most obnoxious.Geauxtigers225 said:

I hate to say it, but your haircut MIGHT be a clue...luckily you're not a fish, but it is late in the season, too...Mike_Church22 said:
I'm a pisshead and I'm going in Civs. I try to stay out of uniform when I don't need to be.
ahhhhh I totally forgot that was this weekend. Good point I would avoid going to New Orleans and just go out in Baton Rouge on Friday.twk said:It's Bayou Classic weekend in New Orleans. As to LSU fans, I haven't had any problems (didn't make the trip pre-SEC), and I think that a lot of the negative stories date from 25 or more years ago, when the LSU crowd was a bunch of lowlifes. However, as is the case everywhere in big time college football, a lot of these characters have been priced out. The LSU student body is still on the trashy side, but if you're in the A&M section, you're a long ways away from them.
When you are walking around the tailgating areas, they do like to invade your space and yell "Tiguh bait!" at you to see how you react. If you laugh it off, they generally won't bother you and might even offer you some food and beverages. Not my style of folks, but they are mostly harmless.
