How about Invincible by Skillet ... it's pretty current with a 2016 release date. WWE even has used it at events, lol

I'm just glad the brought back the drum cadence and the South end zone entrance... if Power gets Kyle electric like it has in the past I'm fine with it!

Or we could just come out to the beat of the drums, and look like we're about to whoop their tail

"Power" is so dated its the third newest recording mentioned on this thread.
As the song says right at the beginning, its from the 21st century.

Yeah, keep that.

It'll become tradition, like the Hokies using Enter Sandman for the past 20 years.

This is what concerns me. Hokies on the right track at least..

Please explain what the "right track" is (I have a feeling that you want more of a "white" track). After the drum cadence (which is our main entrance music) we literally play a 15 second clip of a song that gets great crowd reaction and the players love it.

I'm a reasonably old and uncool guy (37 and typing this holding my sleeping newborn) , but I love Power. Easy for the crowd to get into, huge bass hit,... all a great buildup.

I think they just need to rework the transition indy the next phase of pregame. Always feels like a letdown.

And to the guy who suggested White Room...I'm of the opinion that's one of the top 5 songs in history you can't play loud enough. But that's just a terrible idea.

As an old, I think Power is dated. There is new stuff produced all the time and with mixing technology, a cool mashup can be made that would be just as powerful if not more than what is being used now.

I think it would be awesome if the staff could put something together that reaches all of the generations, like a music history with historical video accompaniment for Aggies that would start with something for Old Army and progress through today. Plus as the sound progressed through time they could use the bass capabilities of the system to make you feel the pulse get louder and louder.

I also think the band should start with the bugle call from out of nowhere like a battle call. They should march out and then the video and music should start. Doing it the other way is anticlimactic.

I honestly can't remember the order the way it is now. I just remember it being OK, not really inspiring.

My $0.02.
Power only plays for about 15 seconds before they come out of the tunnel.

Actually there's a version by Sprung Monkey that has a nice remix of the original. Not real big on the rest of it, but kinda like the intro

LOL calling Power dated.

Thank God it won't be changed because of a silly thread like this.

Can't wait for Thursday.

I think this would be a cool and spooky intro (Foals-Prelude) for some football team, breakout into the field with fireworks at the 2:44 mark...perhaps too slow a build-up without some cool video graphics.

First 1:40 of Halo by Machine Head. About a minute of buildup, then starts kicking ass, and the first verse is very applicable. Rest of the song not so much, but that's all would they need.

This needs to be our entrance song and it's not even debatable.

I believe it was used for a time in the early 00's along with Thunderstruck and a couple of the other more common ones.

There was nothing more intimidating than 80,000 watching the players walk out of an open field house and enter 'into' an open stadium around some temporary bleachers.

Let me just state for the record how much I love this thread

"Sumlin is gone can we puhlleeasse change our entrance to some dated rock or country! That'll get the young college students/athletes going!"

I know some of y'all don't like it, but I love it. The players love it. The students love it. Just wait until the alumni site catches on. You'll have 100K in unison. By far the best entrance if you ask me. DON'T TAKE IT AWAY! If it were up to me, it would be played as 3rd down music every now an then. It get's the people going!

Need to walk out to just the cadence of the drummers. I'd be scared s***less if I was on the opposite bench and saw a group of grown ass men walk in like they mean business and not like they just walked into a club.

My first game at Kyle was when we walked out behind 4 drummers in 05(ish)? Gave me chills...

BTW, an improvement I would make with the drum thing is to have just one start it and the rest join in after a bit.

Honestly, it doesn't get better than that. And we still have the drum cadence beforehand.

I love our entrance. Hope it stays and becomes iconic/synonymous with Aggie football.
