Howdy Aggies! Ja'Mar Toombs here. I know most of you remember that my oldest son Cory, has been battling cancer for the past 10 years. A few years ago he had radiation and went into remission. Well about a year and a half ago his cancer came back. During this past year it started acting more aggressively and spread from his mouth and neck area to his chest. He is in stage 4 now. He has 3 mass growths in his chest. One close to his lungs one close to his heart and another in his upper chest area. Because of where those growths are, surgery to remove them is not an option. The dr. had scheduled a full laryngectomy but because it spread they cancelled it. Currently the dr is trying to see what kind of chemo would work best. In preparation for these hard days ahead of us I am selling my A&M helmet. Next to my Big 12 Championship ring, it's my most prized memorabilia. It's the only helmet I wore while playing for the Aggies. It's been in some great memorable games, 98 Nebraska; 1st td & 71yd run, 98 Big 12 Championship, 99 Texas (bonfire game) 126yds 2 td's, 00 Oklahoma (most famous td I scored and Miss St (snowbowl) 200yds 3 td's. The last time I touched the ball college was a 25yd td in overtime. This helmet means a lot to me but being able to be there for my son means more. I don't want to sale it on Ebay because I want it to go to an Aggie. That way I know it means as much to them. I can't put a price on it but I'd like the bidding to start at 1,000.
