I need to look now because I may still be confused myself. The so-called rules guy was wrong about several things.

I think the hold and the targeting foul should have offset. Both fouls were live ball fouls. They should have enforced the dead ball foul. So maybe they did mess up.

Not such a big deal. Give 'em the credit they deserve.

But, it's going to be annoying when their cruising through the new SWC while we're in the SEC meatgrinder, to not have them on our schedule.

I've been saying it all along. The "we don't need them" mantra is going to be a lot less convincing when they have cakewalks to playoff contention and we don't get a shot at them.

It depends on where it was. If it was behind the LOS, it is enforced from the previous spot. If beyond, then yes, it would be a spot foul. I don't know where the hold occurred.

They changed the rules a few years ago that eliminated the top kick making it bounce high on one hop. The reason no one does that anymore is because the receiver on a one hop is protected, and can also fair catch it.
Now it has to hop on a second bounce, which just isn't as easy to do.
