Uhhh, Hurts is a) no typical backup and b) played in most, or every, game this year. When he came in the SECCG, he shredded UGa's defense like they had no clue what to do. Tua and Hurts have different styles and both require prep time.

Hell, it would have been one thing had last years title game not shown that (albeit in reverse).

Yes, they should have prepared.

I don't think either needs the other - but I do think there is going to be an epic arms race over the next decade in Texas and we aren't going to have TCU and North Texas competing anymore. The two big dogs are going to get bigger.

I have been asking that question since the bowls were assigned. We finished second in in the SEC West ahead of LSU and beat them head to head. Yes, they were ranked higher and had one less out of conference loss. Concerning the attendance last night, let's just be nice, it was very poor. Lot's of empty seats. I enjoyed the outcome, but we should have been playing today based on conference record. Or, did they let that out of conference win for LSU and our close loss to Clemson make their decision? It doesn't make sense since we are the second place team out of the West. Anyone have an answer?

Probably not, but they've shown a penchant for underachieving this year, and the story about the sloppy bowl prep combined with what we are seeing tonight does not suggest a program that's tracked on a good groove.

I know they've recruited lights out, but this effort tonight is rotten in a way that it makes you wonder if there aren't some team culture issues...

Rankings is what I have been told. Conference rankings don't count apparently.

Why would they not like the on-side kick attempt. Was there anyone besides them not think that was the play after the penalty was announced? Difference between the 25 and 38 are not that big of a difference.
