Texas A&M enters both national Top 25 polls at #22

It's a bit of a rarity for a team to gather momentum in national rankings after a home loss, but Texas A&M nearly pushed its way into the Top 25 last week after taking second-ranked Clemson to the brink. A week later, following a 48-10 blowout of Louisiana-Monroe, the Aggies debuted at number 22 in both the Amway Coaches Poll and the AP Poll. 

In the Coaches Poll, Texas A&M, now 2-1 on the season, jumped past Michigan State and Boise State, who remained ranked, as well as USC and Arizona State, both of whom fell out of the rankings. 

In the AP Poll, the Aggies moved ahead of the same four teams, though Boise State also dropped out of the AP top 25. 

The SEC now has six teams ranked in the Top 25, with top-ranked Alabama leading the way in the early going. Five of those six are SEC West teams. Georgia jumped ahead of Clemson in the AP Poll, assuming the number 2 ranking. The Aggies head to Tuscaloosa this Saturday for their annual SEC West showdown against the Crimson Tide.
