Sent an e-mail concerning my tickets and now it's moved to stubhub. I don't remember being charged anything by selling my tickets on Flashseats, now I get charged for selling my tickets on Stubhub

Flash Seats didn't charge a commission to sell. They charged a 23% buyer connection fee. So Stub Hub is pretty much making the same percentage as Flash Seats just distributing the percentage between buyer and seller.

$5 minimum buyer fee plus $5 delivery fee. You'll need to work out a transfer outside of Stubhub to get a decent price for low demand games. Otherwise that's a ripoff for weaker basketball, baseball, soccer, etc games.

Ouch. That will hurt attendance at games where attendance is already down such as winter break basketball games. Really cheap tickets brought people in.

Wait, Stubhub Aggie tickets are not working yet? For real? I am no longer a season ticket holder so I am honestly asking.

My thought is, stubhub kicks more back towards A&M and therefore, they kicked Flashseats out. Flashseats was not going to kick as much money back so they got kicked out
02skiag

They kick more back because they charge us more, especially for cheaper listings.

I dropped my season tickets this year. I just bought 2 tickets for the Ole Miss game off Stubhub for $87/ticket and got charged $226 for the two. Over $50 in fees... What crap! That is 29% in fees just from the buyer side...

I have a great big leather chair, air conditioning, a 75" Ultra HD thingie hanging on the wall and a son who's a master at cooking a prime ribeye to medium rare and pairing it with sauted mushrooms and a baked potato. I don't need stubhub or the 12th Man Foundation. The seats in the stadium are for suckers.

Stub Hub highest fees in the exchange game
Get this, they guarantee satisfaction so if somebody is unhappy in most cases can't read the seating chart you the seller get stiffed or you get banned.

...and that "free" game that you're enjoying will only exist as long as people who appreciate the full fan-experience are willing to pay the costs associated with actually attending the games..

Starting to feel the same... game day at A&M has become a big time expense.

For a couple to go up to the game and spend the weekend in College Station:
2 nights @ hotel = $650
Northgate/Midnight Yell Prep = $100
Late Night Uber = $50
Tailgate contribution = $100
Stadium Food/Bevs = $100
Other Meals = $150

That's $1,150 PLUS TICKETS!!!
(and the game is televised)

Fewer butts in seats = big loss in potential concessions revenues and merchandise sales.

Was that considered?

I think the move has its benefits but there are some downsides as well. Might cut into my last minute trips to BCS for various sports.

Then the onus is on the producer to provide a fan experience that is in line with the price point and quality that the buyer is willing to pay.

Simple rules of economics. The burden should never be on the customer to prop up a sub par product.

If attendance suffers, then the price point needs to be changed or the quality of the product improved.

It's that simple.

That makes way too much sense. You clearly have no Kool-aid stains on your shirt. Blind faith and open wallets rule the day.

that has or is about to change. I believe the NFL is getting close to making more money from their TV contracts than ticket sales

this is going to be a tremendous issue that a lot of fans and the TMF don't realize.

many times a fan just needs to pick up 1 extra ticket (to whatever A&M sporting event) because someone else came along. Flash was a very inexpensive way to do that. Not so much with Stubhub

So are there no "free transfer" options inside stubhub like there was with flash seats?

Man I agree. The fees are ridiculous.

This may sound a little old school and there may be some risk if you are traveling a long way, but one way to circumvent the fees would be to buy from scalpers before the game.

Before season tickets I used to do this all the time. Amazing how many good seats and great deals there are from folks just trying to get rid of some tickets. Just make sure you don't buy tickets in the visitor seats (I learned the hard way)

Down side would be the big games like Clemson where it might be a little tougher to find a deal.

There is a 24% fee plus a $2.50 fulfillment fee for each ticket.

Revenue from ticket sales is a fraction of TV $ and has been for a long time.

No, I could list them for sale right now if I wanted, but wanted to list them directly from my TMF account so everything is automated instead of having to enter it all myself. That was supposed to go live today, and didn't.
