Well, as soon as that thread "devolved" into a discussion about anonymous moderators, it got locked.... precisely proving many of our complaints. And I thought it was a respectful discussion.

I was just about to make what I thought was a good compromise. Like IrishAggie suggested, give the mods a unique number or ID. So it would be "Edited by Moderator #131" etc or an email that "your thread was deleted by Moderator #62" and a reason why.

Maintains Brandon's desire for moderator safety, yet allows some public accountability. Still allows the mods to post as normal folks, but allows some transparency and accountability. It would become readily transparent if "Moderator #62" was editing or banning based on an agenda. Then folks could file grievances against the specific mod, while still not knowing what poster that is.

But, in typical TexAgs fashion, it just got locked.
