I'm sorry, I must be missing something.
Do white people not go to night clubs?
I'm white and got kicked out of one in midtown (Houston) a few years ago. Racism?

Sumlin was a good coach, I'm tired of all these stupid articles. We all expect more from Fisher but pretending like Sumlin didn't have a clue is ignorant
Maybe it was for laser tag and they actually played dub step. Let's not assume.roxtar said:LOLQuote:
According to the story, Sumlin's old office had dark carpet and black walls, which doesn't seem to be a vibe Fisher enjoys.

No big deal. Jimbo's style and approach resonate much better with me than Sumlin's, but in all honesty I was okay with Sumlin's approach if it got us the right talent. Results are what matters. Sumlin's came up short. Jimbo's haven't come up yet.

Does this mean the end of the pimp cane?
Agreed. I think Sumlin's mistake was that he needed coordinators who were going to be hardasses if he was going to be the "players" guy. Yeah listen to them voice their concerns if they think its unfair, but at the end of the day it has to be clear that someone in the chain of command has the necessary support to instill discipline. That's part of where Chief went wrong, he wanted to run tougher practices and was held back.BombayAg said:kbarj said:

The problem is you cannot be a fun lovin' chill dude when you recruit and be a fire breathing hard task master when it comes to practice. Makes players go wtf. That is where he failed. Even if he was a taskmaster, it would be Bait and switch so he preferred to be popular instead.
Not sure what Herman has to do with my comment. I'm talking about when Brown was let go and Strong came in, everyone was gung-ho on Strong because he was coming in and throwing out the entitled, pool party culture of the previous regime, instilling core-values and toughness into his team. Then he averaged six games a year.Brennus said:Really? I would label both Strong and Herman more "players" coaches same as Sumlin. Jimbo is not.OldShadeOfBlue said:This sounds vaguely familiar to what was coming out of sips mouths a few years ago when Strong replaced Brown.wyoag93 said:
Sumlin was all about catering to the nonsense that recruits like.
Jimbo is all about projecting the values that will make recruits successful.
If you want to rap and have fun in the short run, you sign with Sumlin.
If you want to work and develop values for the long run, you sign with Jimbo.
Herman wears a grill, makes hand gestures at opposing players, carries a bat, and throws pool parties. Jimbo wouldn't do any of that.
Did he?Spaceball 1 said:
