We got them to waste more money that they don't have.
Joke is on them.
It's a good thing they can't add in that state. (or spell)DM44 said:
LSU is
still paying Les Miles' full salary,
gave Coach O a 12 million buyout on his contract and will fire him within 18 months and
paying a DC over $2 million a year.
Dang, they just keep digging that hole deeper and deeper.

Oh, I agree. They want him more than coach O probably. If he leaves they are in really bad shape. I don't blame us one bit for not paying more than 2.5M.HoustonAg2106 said:FriscoKid said:

They just wanted him more, no big deal
But don't act like we only went after him to raise his salary at LSU

Yep you have the cash and we don't. That's why we just paid our DC $2.5 mil a year and you don't have them.TrustinAgs said:

Simply not true, Louisiana state government is in dire financial straights and anyone who refuses to recognize that is denying reality. LA has numerous outstanding obligations that have hamstrung the state's ability to provide and perform many basic functions. LSU's campus is a dump (especially relative to its counterparts in the SEC) and is not be properly maintained due to lack of sufficient funding. Seemingly, the only thing LSU cares about is athletics with a special emphasis on football and attempting to compete with Bama.Hot Boudin said:Money we don't have?FriscoKid said:

LSU athletics nets a profit.
The state isn't paying for this salary. The state has money. The whole "bankrupt" thing was a ploy by the Governor to scare the public into influencing the legislature to pass his legislation/budget adjustments.
Basically after Katrina, LA received a ton of extra funds for rebuilding. Our budget increased dramatically because of this. Once the funds stopped, the budget was at the same level. Therefore, the budget needed to be adjusted back to pre-Katrina days.
We also have plenty of big money donors just like A&M.
You guys lost again to LSU. Deal with it.
Your post is 100% false. LSU's campus is very nice and has multiple construction projects going on right now. It is more aesthetic and nicer than A&M's.ArbAg said:Simply not true, Louisiana state government is in dire financial straights and anyone who refuses to recognize that is denying reality. I explained the Louisiana state government situation in my previous post. You are throwing out falsities and are completely wrong.
