Mond is a true freshman and getting better with a good skill set.

I agree it would be nice to see what he can do but the constant rotation of QBs is one of the biggest issues since 2013. Time to stick with one kid and give him a shot

I'm not sure why everyone is being so critical of Mond. Offense 17 points against a vaunted Bama defense, and really only made one bad mistake (the endzone pick), which I am sure he wishes he could have back as that would have been 24 points and most likely a 1 point game.

Against UCLA, yes, he sucked. But now, I think he has this offense performing pretty well for a freshman. Could it be better? Yes. But look at the long term. Mond is the QB of the future and we already burned his redshirt opportunity, so let's get him good while we already have a 2 loss season.

We have already found out. Starkel looked great at UCLA before Sumlin pulled him. Sumlin then put him back in after momentum was lost and he got injured. They still should play Mond at Florida. He is really gonna break out soon, maybe today. Starkel should red shirt if he will. He is gonna be a great one too.

Watch the Florida game and then watch the same QB picking up the Hesman three months later. Is that good enough improvement for you? Asking for a friend...

The one thing I like about Mond is he rarely tries to force the ball. He's patient and He's not going to turn the ball over by throwing risky passes. What I don't like right now is his accuracy. Hopefully he gets better in that regard.

I would like to see what Starkel can do. He got short changed. He might be better, might not. The intent was to let it play out during the season. That didn't happen.

Not only has Mond been better than that EVERY other game he's played, but vs Bama was 19/29 with a QBR 138.7

Mond seems not worse than Starkle.

Statistics, eye test, pretty much every measurable available point to Mond being the better starter.

If you don't want Sumlin to have another mismanaged QB situation, then Starkel should never see the field again.

I am not necessarily advocating for a change at QB, but if you watch Stephen McGee's Film Room you will see that Mond has a lot of room for improvement. And that is only showing a few plays.

Mond has basically learned how to play big time college football quarterback on the job, with no real backup and has possibly salvaged a disaster of a season for his team.

He has earned the starting job IMO.

That's exactly what Drew wants. The bigger the cluster on this team the happier he is. Don't feed the troll.

He's already had his redshirt year. The only way he gets a medical hardship year is to miss two seasons due to medical reasons.

Stark managed the half fine but didn't complete one pass 10+ yards past the LOS against ucla. Don't think I'd saddle him with "giving us" a 30 point lead. Defense and rb's were the reason.

As for who is better? Who knows, but this is Mond's team until he struggles mightily

Redshirt Starkel, continue playing Mond for the season. Let them compete in the offseason. Hopefully the loser understands injuries happen and they can go in at anytime and does not transfer.
