I had the exact same experience. We were on the receiving end of constant S$&t-talking all the way back to our car. We went out with a buddy' older sister that night and people talked s#$t constantly at every place we stopped. It was relentless.

I had to add to this thread. I'm a Clemson grad. An Aggie buddy of mine invited me to College Station for the Larry Fitzgerald Pitt game. What an experience! I won't admit it's better than Clemson, but it's damn close. I decided that day, that I would be honored to send my child to A&M. I came back a few years later to watch you guys smoke Charlie Whitehurst. I still rave about the experience and have told my few Gamecock friends to put Kyle Field on the bucket list.

Aggies are the classiest group of fans I've been around at an away game. The family atmosphere reminds me a lot of Clemson and both fanbases treat visitors with respect. We are both proud of our schools and want opposing fans to enjoy the experience. I'll be booking a trip for next year's game.

Now, as for the cocks. I've lived in Columbia for 20 long years. Those people talk trash even when they losing. During the few years they were winning, you can't imagine how bad it became. My kids still catch heat from Gamecock teachers, even though we just one a National Championship. In general, there is not much difference between a USC fan and a Jerry Springer fan. As Clemson Fans, we just ignore them or smile and go with the old "Bless Your Heart" and take the high road.

A few, mostly Alumni, have some class. Overall, the attitude of Alabama with the trophy case of Vandy. Clemson Nation is All Aggie this weekend.

Gamecock fan here. Want to formerly apologize as a member of the fan base for those that had or felt they had a negative experience. Much like any other fan base, you get some bad apples here and there. Typically some of the students and some bandwagon people that tend to ebb and flow like the tide when the team starts to lose. Not sure why all the hate for A&M for those that did not have a pleasant experience in Columbia. It's a smaller town and besides the existence of USC and Ft. Jackson, would most likely not allow it to get nearly as big as it is. As a native, it is hard to find things to do sometimes but the zoo is consistently ranked top in the country and the food and bar scene is slowly progressing outside Five Points.

So again, I apologize for any poor experiences around some bad SC fans, but please don't generalize all of us as stupid or inbred. USC has the #1 business school in the country, a fairly strong nursing program and the #1 honors college. Referring back to your median salary factoid, USC also has a larger enrollment, and as such would skew the numbers in comparison to Clemson (33,000 vs. 18,000)

Btw, the only reason Clemson fans are here to add to the **** talking is because it's us. If it were them that you were playing this weekend or an ACC team like FSU, I have no doubt they would be telling you the same crap they consistently feel the need to talk to us...

Hope for a competitive and injury-free game on Saturday
