I have been a Sumlin supporter through the years but this was the last straw. Realistically I don't think he is fired tonight after the first game of the season, and I frankly don't think that would be a good move and that it would be a irrational reaction based on raw emotion. That being said I don't see how we win more than 7 games this year, and I think we'll likely go 6-6. If that is the case then I do think there will be enough pressure by the BMAs to fire Sumlin. I know we've had multiple threads over the same topic, and I don't mean to beat a dead horse, so I'll list ones that have been previously discussed in no particular order. I can't really dig up/think of more candidates to add that are both relevant and somewhat qualified.
Chad morris (way too small of a sample size to justify Imo)
Justin Fuentes (also small sample)
PJ Fleck (not a proven winner at a big school)
Les Miles (not convinced he's actually a good coach... and he's weird as hell)
Mike Gundy (biggest stretch to get)
Chip kelly (has baggage)
Brent Venebles (never been a head coach)
DJ Durkin (not a large sample size as a HC)
Scott Frost (same as above, 2nd season as head coach at small school)
