And we were up 30 a few minutes ago. I'd rather not have to depend on scoring a bunch in the first half and then hoping the other teams don't play well in the second half too.

Up by 20 with 11 minutes left in the game, a freshman QB, and a 2nd & 5 in your opponents territory. How do you not run the football between the tackles right there?

I think the thing that frustrates a lot of us is that the offense and defense never seem to be in symc in terms of when to go into game-ending mode.

The defense goes to zone and 4 man rush only. Ok. The opposition will move the ball and use clock. That is fine of the offense isnon the same page and comes in and runs the ball.

The issue is, our team never seems to be this concerted as one unified philosophy. Instead, our defense goes into game is over mode, and our offense has two 3 and outs passing the ball. Weird.
