I can't understand the negativity on this board. The guys won a tough game on the road on the road today without a lot of our key playmakers. Sure our QB is not perfect but they winning while he is at the helm. The team responds well to Knight and it seems like the team is more seasoned and mature. They look and play different. I love watching the defense play.......and it has been a long time since we have had a dominant defense.

I hope we all can appreciate each win even if they are ugly wins.

It's not that he won poorly, he won poorly in week 5 when his teams tend to start falling apart. It makes it look like we will repeat all of the mistakes from previous years. SC is not good. How are we going to beat Alabama on the road if we struggle with SC? At the same time the offensive problems of the previous years are rearing their ugly head again.

For now, I'll chalk it up to a bad game. But some are more cynical, warranting the negativity.

Our offense is a very hit or miss, all or nothing, big play offense. And tonight, it was mostly miss. Knight is a decent QB, but he is not world shattering by any means. We have also been lucky that our opponents keep shooting themselves with untimely turnovers. Arkansas doesn't fumble the ball at the goal last week, and they go up 17-7 - Instead, we turn it back around and go ahead 14-10. That fourteeen point turnaround broke their back. We have been fortunate so far that we have been playing with lead - The real test will be to find it if we can play from more than one score behind.

South Carolina's offense is not good. But, there is nothing about any of their first 4 games that suggested that this would be a blowout. We held them to 2 FGs in the last 59:47. We were one missed FG away from the most points they've allowed this season. And, we played on their field.

The negativity on this board comes from the fact that the zoo is full of idiots.

Chavis turned the defense around, Turner brought the running game back and did wonders the O-line. I would assume Sumlin doesn't have play calling duties.

Spav was mishandled and three five star qbs were mishandled. It appears that KK did a great job by all accounts.

I think the jury is still out.

Poor play calling. Receivers not getting open. Simple pass routes that are easy to cover. Nothing over the middle, and slant routes are non existent.

Pretty much. All you have to do is look at the time of possession and the points off turnovers. Fumbled the ball twice and got lucky bounces, then punt and was muffed by SC on the last drive. All the luck has been going our way.

There are too many dumbasses around here and probably some sip trolls mixed in. Go okie lite. Pistols firing.

But what about his successes? Good teams stick it out and win games sometimes just through grit and determination. Those mistakes you're talking about? We didn't make the same killer mistakes and we won the ballgame. Will we beat Bama? I don't know, but I'm going to enjoy today's win and know that while we don't have the same depth as Bama, we have great talent and have a chance to beat anybody. Enjoy it!

Depends on whether he wins 10 or better this year. If not he'll be averaging roughly 9 wins and .500 in SEC play. If that's worth $5 mil a year depends on what you think the program is ultimately capable of and what reasonable expectations are in the SEC west.
