We beat the #16 team in overtime. There were a lot of positives and a fair few negatives. Still, lets look at our SEC brethren.
The best performance:
Alabama blowing out USC.
Next best:
Georgia beating a ranked NC team 33-24.
A whole lot of poor to mediocre:
Florida struggling with UMass until halfway through the 4th quarter.
Tenn going to OT against App State.
The South Carolina / Vanderbilt game.
Arkansas needing a 4th down TD pass to beat LA Tech
The ugly:
West Virginia thrashing Missouri
Miss St losing to South Alabama
LSU's offense against Wisconsin.
Kentucky losing at home to Southern Miss.
TBD: Auburn and Ole Miss.
For all you complaining, there's only two teams (Bama & Georgia) I'd trade places with. Everyone else struggled more than we did, especially when looking at the competition.
For all our flaws, most of the rest of the SEC teams have plenty of flaws too. Bama's just got so much talent, they're gonna be tough for anybody to beat.
