I live in The Woodlands (North Houston) and drive Houston roads daily...Midnight Yell is a great experience and is one that many of my non-Aggie friends have really enjoyed. The drive is going to kick your A**. Don't do it.

If you are dead set on going to Yell I would just plan to SLEEP IN YOUR CAR if you donn't want to get a hotel closer to Aggieland. Personally, I would skip yell altogether and get to College Station earlier on Saturday. College Station is a safe enough environment that no one is going to mess with you if you sleep in you car though IMO.

Making that drive is going to kill your energy. Get to campus about 2 hours ahead of the game and watch the Band and Corps march through campus and tailgate with good Ags around the campus before the game. You will get a flavor of Yell practice during the game when you see and hear the actual yells.

You will have a great time! Gig 'em!



....one more thing...the grass around the MSC (Memorial Student Center) is considered sacred ground in honor of Aggies who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Don't walk on the grass or people will yell at you to "get off the grass" and also take your hat off when you go in that building.

Just use Google maps navigation on your phone to plot your driving route. It will find the fastest route and avoids traffic or road shutdowns if there is a faster route. It will reroute you mid drive if road conditions change. You will most likely not need the tollroad if you are driving through Houston early in the morning or late at night.

Your seats are near mine. Not quite as close to the action or as loud as the expensive seats but they are good enough. They are high up but you will be able to see the game.

Glad you will not try insane round-trip to see Yell. Better to get a good night's sleep and arrive early to see March-In. Have a safe trip!
