I don't really have an issue with any of those. I own guns, watches and shoes. Don't own any MJ. And my guns are there primarily to protect my stuff from people that want to take it.

Why is this a problem?

The justice system contains no surprises anymore. We are a nation in which laws are enforced selectively, often to the detriment of the majority. Money, influence, social prominence, athletic ability, and standing relative to a political agenda are the most prominent free passes.

If the gun is purchased LEGALLY, I have no problem. I have plenty of guns as well for hunting and protecting what is mine. No weed for me since it is against the law.
while I was living in the demolished Cain, I had guns pulled on me two different times. One of the guys is serving a life sentence for murder, the other was arrested for murder but found his way to our team for a semester.
These are the type of people that have no business playing college football!

Why would they? The drug charge was only a misdemeanor. The only felony was because the one firearm had been stolen and one stolen hand gun isn't enough to warrant their involvement. Or should they investigate the 5th term DA who has a history of being lenient with non violent criminals and is only harsh on those with violent crimes.

It was a silly statement by the DA. That's for sure.

The defendants' attorney has come out and cited illegal search issues as the reason the DA dropped the case.

Now, what will be interesting to see is what Nick Saban's response to this is.

Unlike prosecution in court, discipline on a football team concerns itself not with illegal searches. The facts are
still the facts. These two were in felony possession of a stolen firearm and some marijuana.

I say Saban should still punish the players. Especially since the case was dropped not due to a lack of evidence.

But I doubt he does much to them. Can't punish your starting left tackle too much....

I'd punish for the drugs.

No evidence I've seen to support they did anything wrong regarding the gun.

Admittedly, lots we have not seen on this case.
