Just a crazy idea, but what the hey? Johnny has fans, young and old, who would like to see him overcome the negative karma that has derailied his dreams of being a NFL star. Could someone, possibly with some computer expertise, be able to set up a blog or special website to provide him extra inspiration? It's tough to listen to the same old yolks telling you how to live your life--I've been there, and it doesn't make the taste of alcohol (or whatever) seem less appealing. But perhaps an occasional random child telling him how he's been the inspiration for his aspirations might change the mindset. Thoughts?

I think there is no shortage of people that would be willing to help him IF he wanted help: family, old friends, coaches, etc. He doesn't seem to want it yet and until he does the never ending supply of leeches & sycophants will keep steering him in the wrong direction.

The kid has zero ability to see past today. That's what we loved about him at TAMU and it is what we hate about him now...

If only the Zoo was still the kind of group that could make a positive change in someone's life. I have to say that this thread title actually looked like the beginning of something that could be great. A pouring of outreach from a group of people that, despite Johnny's behavior, still feel compassion and hope for this young mans life.

But that would be like.... if a 4th grader keeps getting made fun of, and his mom showed up at lunch to give him a super special card full of encouraging words and loving thoughts, in front of all the bullies.

Texas A&M has a lot of defibrillators around campus, so yes they could resuscitate him.

Listened to some rather poignant observations from an Austin radio personality who has himselfe dealt with addiction and mental health issues. Johnny will only be 'saved' when he wants to. He's nose deep in an addiction cycle where he's pushing everyone away because he doesn't want the party to ever end. At this point, folks like us can only pray.
