I know this sounds wacky but follow the logic. With the SEC West likely to be a running conference in 2016 (new QBs at Ark, Bama, MSU and LSU hopeless throwing the ball) and with our problems stopping the run and weak play at LB, Myles seems wasted at DE. Given that he has run 4.46 at a weight of 260, it would seem likely that he could play from sideline to sideline at MLB. He could blitz from MLB as well. It won't happen but it would likely turn a big negative into a positive.

I think it is a legitimate idea. Sounds reasonable but I think they would have already tried it if they thought it would work. They have invested a lot of time with him at DE and I don't think too many elite DE's switch positions after a ton of success at their current one.

Once we get into league play nobody hardly passes on us. Garret's talent pretty much wasted. But put him at a backer, inside or outside sometimes and you can still get the rush when needed, but you also get somebody who can get to the ball and fill the hole. Use him like Denver uses Von. I think he's capable of it.

I see none of the naysayers have any ideas how to improve our marshmallow soft linebackers to let's just roll out a half dozen more marshmellows and set a new record for rushing yards given up on a game, month, season, or history.

Well, it would take away his weakness at being unable to contain on his side of the field on running plays I suppose.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Myles Garret playing defensive end certainly isn't broken.

The guy is an athletic freak of nature. I certainly think he translates to a Von Miller type guy. 3-4 outside linebacker type guy who can really get after the QB, but cover a RB or TE in pass coverage if needed. Since we don't run the 3-4 tho just leave him at DE and let him dominate.

If we don't find some LB's, CB's, and develop some ability at OL;, A&M and Myles aren't going to dominate anyone.

You see, having one of the best DE's in the country that's unblockable and racks up tons of sacks along with an LB crew that's below average is much better than not having that stud DE and the gamble that that stud DE may have good enough instincts to make a great MLB.

Qualen C. needs to play OLB, couldn't hurt, I feel like his game would translate well to that position. Dude is a stud and needs to be on the field.

It's a good idea in any defense other than Chavis'. I see Garrett being looked at as a 3-4 OLB before a DE in the draft.
