quote:Okay, what are you saying that I should believe?
I have a source that says to believe me.
quote:
On Jan. 19's edition of Fox Sports' The Audible, analysts Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel discussed Texas' struggles in recruiting.
The duo pointed out that the Longhorns current recruiting class' ranks below Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, Houston and Texas A&M. Feldman said Texas' opponents are out recruiting it because the Longhorns haven't been as successful on the field
quote:You mean, a certain network in Bristol CT? The one which watches it's Deloss Dodds special hemorrhage cash?
Meh, networks want tu to be good. All those t-shirt fans bring good ratings. They are doing their best to promote the horns to recruits

quote:Which points to the original Deloss Dodds arrogance which prompted CU, NU, Mizzou, and A&M to consider conferences which promote networks that represent all of the conference members.
ESPN would be taking a bath on the LHN even if tu was great. The entire idea was a mistake. Just like we all would watch the aggie network if ESPN set one up, no one else that didn't give a damn would. Same for tu. Their brand and t shirt sales may be massive, but the Walmart fan base isn't watching the LHN all day and night, and never was going to. They just watch when the game is on, but wear the shirt all year
quote:Unless you were in a conference which respected all of it's members, like the SEC, or the Big 10...then it would be a non-issue and you wouldn't have to be "foolish enough to turn down the deal"....because Espn wouldn't approach you to begin with. Instead you have a tu sock puppet for Big 12 commish ... and one school which calls themselves the Jones'. That folks is how you piss off Nebraska, Colorado, A&M, and Mizzou. Bravo Mr Sliver.
I agree, but Dodds and tu would be foolish to turn down that deal. ESPN's arrogance to think they could build an entire network around one program, no matter how much national prestige and brand awareness they have, was the huge misstep. tu is still getting paid and have their own network for their super fans who pay attention.
quote:
Given the structure the big 12 had set up as far as tier 3 rights... No school in the entire country would turn down the deal ESPN offered
quote:Sort of like the Fab 5 from Florida? Or is it Fab 1?
Last year, they got commits from all their top ranked 5 between 12/19 and LOI day. Plus they flipped Locksley, Newsome, and Locke all in the last week last year. Warren committed on LOI day.
UL fans say he was famous there for big LOI day flips to UL.
