Cross posting on football board and ticket exchange (ticket exchange is pretty dead this time of year)

I have 6 tickets (2 sets of 3 stacked) in the North zone upper arm chairs section 325 rows 4 and 5. Given whats going on with the oil and gas industry and my outlook for potentially not having work later this year, I am planning to not renew these seats. I will sell these seats to someone for face value plus donation and I will cover the capital contribution.

I suppose I will also consider trying to upgrade the tickets to new seats elsewhere if someone has an interest in that. I have 1,019 priority points which ranks 5,633.

I will also consider breaking these into 2 sets of 3 if anyone wants just 3 of them.

So for us that don't know the normal price for tickets... what are we talking about?

$100/seat/game + Donation?

So - $100 X 6 Seats X 7 Games = $4200 + Donation

Yes. And the donation is $350 for EACH seat.

Work has really dried up for me as well. If we are unable to renew our season tickets, does the athletic department take punitive actions against us?

will you be requesting use of them for the first half of the year to "show" us how to fan at 2 year old Kyle?

last year the donation was $350/seat and the face value was $525/seat so $875/seat for the season.

Auction them off for charity

Ok, if someone bids higher than the face value plus donation, I will give all of the additional proceeds to a charity of their choice

Dam liberals screwing it up for all of us. I hate alternative energy.

$875/seat if A&M keeps their prices the same. I'd expect something closer to $900 next year.

I got extras last year for a vareity of reasons.

1. hoping to build my priority points to be able to upgrade. When I got booted from my old seats due to not having enough priority points, I decided I was willing to invest some extra money to build my priority points and figured I would mostly get my money back by selling my extras (I actually made a little money doing this last year but don't care for the headache this year or the risk given job uncertainty)

2. In phase 1 I could only get bench seats so I had 8 seats in 3 different parts of the stadium (north upper zone, south upper zone and southeast bench). When I upgraded in phase 2 I kept all 8 --- my kids aren't old enough to go to games yet so no reason for me to keep more than 2 (which I'm debating whether I will keep those or not given my job uncertainty).

The only thing you are on the hook for is the gift, for three more years.

Almost sounds like someone is looking to commit tax fraud...

If you are interested in these, I'd suggest trying to get them yourselves through TMF. No need padding some else's priority points when they over bought.

Hope the OP keeps his job, however trying to get the credit and reselling seats he upgraded to is bad bull.

as an aside...it seems like it's taking the TMF awhile to get out the season ticket renewals this year.

I guess they are anticipating a bunch of "seat move" requests or briefing the new AD first on everything

Odds of getting arm chair seats if you don't have any now are quite low. I'm happy to let these go, but figured someone out there might want the seats.

Only what you paid. I called the 12th Man about this. If you give up your seats and have a balance, they won't come after that.

It was always the plan to send these in February. My interest will be in the upgrading process. Should be another round of fun, and I'm guessing it will be similar to the Phase II process last year. However, that's just me guessing.

Cost > value, given the product on the field. ICBW, but I sense tickets throughout the stadium will be available on game days next season at or below face value (with no donation/commitment). The prospects of a disappointing conclusion to the recruiting cycle and KS being a lame duck make it a buyers' ticket market. Nevertheless, good luck. Your prior investment in the program is admirable.

I hope you keep your job and things improve in the oil patch.

Someone with between 800-1000 priority points is likely to get to upgrade from bench to arm chair. If you are below that, you will have a selection of bench and MAYBE West Club. When I selected seats the only options for 4 together was bench, west club and west field box. There were about 6 or 8 pairs of north zone arm chairs left and maybe about the same number of sets of 3.

yes, I would anticipate a ton of seat change requests -- perhaps several hundred or more

Just curious, would the parking passes be included in this deal? 2 sets of 3 should come with 2 parking passes right?

I can include 1, I anticipate potentially keeping my other parking pass.

At this point I have 2 parties who are willing to do this if I can get a set of 4 and a set of 2 together instead of 3 and 3. If anyone has an interest in doing a set of 3 or all 6, let me know.
