I don't think Strong is selling winning next year. I think he is selling early playing time, Austin (to the kids), family atmosphere (to the parents), and being a part of a turnaround and all the fanfare that would bring. Sumlin has his selling point (SEC, facilities, NFL, etc), Strong has his. They are different, and we need to win next year to bring the shine back to the program. If we win next year and Texas continues to lose the momentum is going to swing way back in our favor. A rebuilding/early playing time selling point will only last a couple years before the recruits realize you are selling a pipe dream. 2016 is a big year for both programs for battle of "it" program in the state. We need to keep the foot on the throat. We lost a little the last couple years...

It'll take a near miracle for the new oc and totally unproven oline coach to turn a fish qb into a 10 game winner. Briles I'm sure is laughing his ass off at the hires.

Then chollie gets canned and its onto someone of lighter skin to take over. Experiment over.

Maybe you're wrong. Maybe a couple of good recruiting classes back-to-back will actually improve the Longhorns.
Last year's grade risk loaded class that lost a lot to non qualifiers wasn't good, no matter how many times your dumb ass fan base says "but Malik"
Hate to tell you even with all their attrition their class still ranks higher than A&M's once you remove Kyler from last year's. All their grade risks, but the Florida TE, were already rated low 3* for being known grade risks.

But Kyler actually played for A&M (for an entire season) unlike those players so that is a specious argument. Once you remove the players who never played a down for tu or A&M, A&M's class is higher.

The whorns' 2015 class was a BS frantastic class.
