Who is the worst NAMED Texas A&M starting QB ever?

Rules:

1. Must have been deliberately made the starter by coaching staff (not due to injury of another player).
2. No trash talking players...staph will delete the thread. Just present the facts.
3. You are only basing your judgement off of when they started for Texas A&M (don't bring in high school or transfer stats).

I'll start, and I'll keep it recent.

Kyler Murray. 4 TDs, 5 INTs, 1-2 record as the named starter. Drama and entitlement issues. Transferred after losing the job to the starter who transferred prior to him.

Not sure about your stats on Murray. He threw 5 TDs and 7 ints on the season. And even though he was pulled didn't he start the WKU game which we won and were leading when he was benched and we also won against S Carolina???

I'll add some stats to the debate. In SEC games Murray threw 1 TD and 4 interceptions. He was only a freshman but a bad ratio for any QB at any level.



One last thing...After watching Kyler play this year, I will never understand the hype he received from so many on this forum, Andre Ware and rating agencies. Sure, he can run the ball but he never showed any arm strength or passing accuracy and looks much smaller than his listed height and weight. One of the most overrated players I have seen in a while. But I will say that he is only a Freshman and could improve.

Everyone between Gary Kubiak and Ryan Tannehill was awful.

If your QB doesn't play a couple years in the pros, then he was no bueno.

Kyle Allen was worse in the Ole Miss game but all people can talk about is the pick 6s in the Bama game. Some of the blame has to be on the pathetic A&M offense who could not tackle the returner 3 freakin times!.

Not saying the picks were not bad but one went for 93 yards and one for 55 yards. How in the world can't we get a tackle on those 2 picks???

Why does the fact that we can't make a tackle make those worse than some of the lousy ones Kyler threw when we were about to score???

I'm going to file this thread as "another creative way to create a semi interesting thread topic, but really continue to bag on KA and KM".

Well Randy McCown threw 4 INTs in the '99 Alamo Bowl embarrassment of a 0-24 game, was there in person and Penn State's defense made us look like JV ball. Of course they did have future first rounders LaVar Arrington and #1 pick overall Courtney Brown but still another crappy RC bowl loss

David Walker, Reggie McNeil, Jerrod Johnson, Ryan Tannehill, Steven McGee.

Randy Mccown, Corey Pulig. Edd Hargett also decent.

Kubiak, Moseley also belong.

We have a far superior history of Quarterbacks than our former sip rivals.

Oh and I will have to throw my vote at McCowan or Dustin Long. Only started watching Aggies in 95 so that's my scope of reference.

This pretty much says it all. Watch the video and read the analysis. Only the second pick of 93 yards could have legitimately been stopped by the offense. All three are blatantly KA's fault. In the first pick, you can see where the fullback is wide open and KA could easily have side stepped and made a wide open throw. comparing KA to Favre.. wow. Favre did that over 19 years.. less than TWO per season. And he had a few other things going his way. Favre threw INTS because he was a risk taker. KAs picks were just sloppy play.

Never forget some assh*t at Olsen one time who tried to show me up because I made a quiet joke to my buddy next to me when Granger threw a pitch that landed three feet short of the plate.

I'm sure he's one of those dudes on TexAgs now that scans the board for anything remotely negative, even if true, and then attacks other Aggies to show what a great Aggie he is.

Lance Pavlas was a huge disappointment if I remember correctly.

All I remember about Pulig is his int for td against tech (Thomas). Has been made one of their greatest plays. Ended our swc unbeaten run.

We shouldn't have even been in that position. Terrible, terrible no-call on a fumble by Tech earlier in the game. Of all the screw jobs in Lubbock this one bothers me the most to this day.

Anyone Fran coached....sorry Steve. You deserved better
