And Stephen McGee played in the NFL for several seasons and I loved his heart as an Aggie QB

This is the worst post I have seen. Please don't post anymore.

Johnny Manziel is the most over rated QB that I've ever seen play for A&M. He was the product of Kingsbury, and the recipient of such good fortune as having played with the OL that he had and Mike Evans.
quote:
It's because his "supporting" components never get any credit around here. Without those guys, he's just another quarterback. Was he fun to watch... You bet.
Was he the best QB to ever play at A&M, I don't know. But in my opinion, he's the most over rated.

Lance Pavlas was a huge disappointment if I remember correctly.
Mark Farris. #1
Tommy Preston says hello.
quote:I think you are talking about Brandon Stewart. The game we lost to SWL was in 1996, a year after Pullig left.
Pullig had a bad ass defense to help him. That guy had 6 turnovers against an unranked directional Louisiana team. His "record" as a starter means nothing.
quote:
Everyone between Gary Kubiak and Ryan Tannehill was awful.
If your QB doesn't play a couple years in the pros, then he was no bueno.

Why do we do this to our own people?
Can somebody explain this to me?

Farris is the worst I've seen in regards to QB's who had a meaningful # of starts.
Pullig is the best when it comes to duration as he started most of his 4 years.
Manziel by far the best for the 2 year stretch.
I like Tannehill but the disappointing sr. year vs. expectations for that team left me underwhelmed. He was great for about a 6 game stretch in 2010.
quote:I'd put Kevin ahead of Bucky in that list....
The best Aggie QB's ??
1 Johnny
2 Bucky
3 Kevin Murray

Corey Pullig: 33-6-1 mark as a starter, better than Kubiak or Tannehill or anybody else for that matter.
quote:I see what you did there...Offense to the tackling drills...Defense lets work on the route treequote:Not saying the picks were not bad but one went for 93 yards and one for 55 yards. How in the world can't we get a tackle on those 2 picks???quote:ha ha.. blaming pick 6s on offense not tackling. good one.quote:I see this on this forum all the time and it bugs me. Kyler also threw 3 ints in a game against a weaker opponent (Auburn). If anyone on A&M dared to make a tackle then people would not keep saying pick 6.
Kyle Allen has to be on the list. THREE INTS for TDS in one game.
Kyle Allen was worse in the Ole Miss game but all people can talk about is the pick 6s in the Bama game. Some of the blame has to be on the pathetic A&M offense who could not tackle the returner 3 freakin times!.
Why does the fact that we can't make a tackle make those worse than some of the lousy ones Kyler threw when we were about to score???

quote:I'm sure I'm one of the few on here to have missed this when it was first posted, but thanks for providing the link. An interesting analysis and good read. Made me rethink some of my opinions on KA's gameplay and JS's play calling.
This pretty much says it all. Watch the video and read the analysis. Only the second pick of 93 yards could have legitimately been stopped by the offense. All three are blatantly KA's fault. In the first pick, you can see where the fullback is wide open and KA could easily have side stepped and made a wide open throw. Instead he throws off his back foot. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/25348360/sec-film-study-texas-am-qb-kyle-allen-gifts-alabama-three-pick-sixes
