Watched every game. Our sophomore QB couldn't do anything with the offense. What makes you think a true freshman would do any better? Give him another year to mature and a good system and he has a chance to succeed. I'm not cheering for him, but I'm not going to act like he doesn't have the talent to succeed.

vonmazer,

So you think Riley will be at blowu in two years when Murray can play?

As for OSU, they use Walsh as the running QB now. I think Murray fits best as a change of pace guy anyway, but regardless the way they use Walsh is closer to Murray's skillset than anything Riley has ever done.

The only thing I will agree with is the offense this year under Allen did not fit Kyler. I do think we saw an offense v Vandy that did fit him (what he's good at, maybe not what he wants). I would expect more evolution of that system at A&M. I don't think Riley has ever run anything similar to that.
My point entirely. Riley will be gone after next year, but it's ou, and stoops has a history of good offensive hires(2/3).

Walsh was used this season after Rudolph is injured, but that system is designed for a pocket passer. They really struggled this year on offense getting anything consistent going- unusual for a Gundy coached team.

Kyler would have been better served going to a program like Oregon- which already has a well established offensive system that can mask his deficiencies. OU has one of the higher vertical pass rates out of any spread offense, and that doesn't suit him. It's a stupid transfer.

It seems that Sumlin had already chosen the same, Murray over Allen, but Murray had had enough for whatever reason.
Sumlin screwed himself over when he decided to promise playing time to kids that haven't earned it yet. This was probably the most poorly handled situation I have ever seen in terms of college football

If he doesn't make the promise then Murray signs with Texas and we crucify him for that
Or we can focus on winning the Natty and players will beg to come here. We need to stop catering to these entitled '5*s.' 5* in college <> SEC ready player.

Murray is too small. 5 11, 195 is about 3 inches and 40 pounds off. He will be a great 2nd baseman.

Hubes always gets past second base.

That was Sumlins best (JFF) against Stoops worst.

.

10-2 and AP ranking of 12 was Stoops' worst?

1876er doesn't let little things like facts get in the way of his well known hate for Sumlin.

That said, I trust Bob and I hope he sat down papa Murray and said that the A&M stuff won't fly here.
Yes, I'm sure Dad understands his place now and will not be any problem for Bob or the team his entire time there.

A lot of butt hurt people in these Kyler threads. You are kidding yourself if you don't think Kyler has potential to be a great college QB.

From what I saw of the kid, he is too small to take for advantage of his best talent at this level, his legs.

In the bdf, however, he'll have a better chance at it because the defenses are smaller than SEC defenses

Murray is not quite as good as Allen right now probably, but Allen is much closer to his ceiling right now than Murray.

More butt hurt for the midget
Midget? Yeah he is SUCH a midget...

Anyways, it sucks that he is gone, but if he didn't want to be here then it is good to have him gone. Also, Sumlin is right that the program is always bigger than one player. A&M will move on and succeed regardless.

Look at the difference between their shoulders not their heads, JFF has at least 3 inches on him.

You know Kyler was standing on a step stool for those, right?

I'm not sure how showing that he is 2 inches shorter than Johnny when he is wearing cleats proves anything, bruh

More like 3-4" when comparing shoulders. Kyler has a whatahead and neck which give his some "false" height. That frame is tiny.

Most QB's transfer down a "level" to get playing time. Good step down for KM.
Just a perfectly aggie comment. It will be even better if Knight transfers to you guys. Thanks for the laugh.
