If you think the OU coaches don't know what they are doing when they choose Murray over Allen then you are lying to yourself.
It seems that Sumlin had already chosen the same, Murray over Allen, but Murray had had enough for whatever reason.
Murray is not quite as good as Allen right now probably, but Allen is much closer to his ceiling right now than Murray.

Murray is too small. 5 11, 195 is about 3 inches and 40 pounds off. He will be a great 2nd baseman.

Sumlin has had better offenses consistently than OU and has a better track record of using dual threat QBs. It's a downgrade move for Kyler in terms of offensive fit. As mentioned above, Riley has one, two years tops before leaving for a HC gig, at which point Kyler will be back where he is now (wondering what the system will look like the following year). TCU or even Okie Lite would have probably been smarter fits.

B) There is no way Kyler is that big. 5'9" 170 is more like it.

Kyler has athletic skills, but not the mental game...yet. He might develop that after time...or he might not.
I have to assume that since he is enrolling for this spring semester, he'll be playing baseball for them???

Or...in a year under Charlie we see what a disastrous dumpster fire Kyler would have been and praise Sumlin for not signing him. Sumlin has bigger issues if he is basing 3-4 year recruiting decisions on snap judgements of others.
A lot of butt hurt people in these Kyler threads. You are kidding yourself if you don't think Kyler has potential to be a great college QB.

Kyler is more suited for Big 12 football anyways.
Kyler is more desirable than Kyle because OU could have him on the field for 2 or 3 years. He won't try to go to the NFL after his first season (like Kyle probably will)

I've not decided whether this is a true statement or not.
I think Allen's ceiling may be higher than Murray's. They both need alot of developing to ever get close to their full potential though.
