Maybe we've done a little to much supporting and not enough demanding since Jackie left. That's 27 years.
Rah Rah all you want.
I'll always support the team. I won't do the same for any coaching staff or, athletic department that has demonstrated underperformance consistently.
This is where we are at.

We are missing a few pieces. The biggest is an OC, second are LBs. The new OC has been selected. Wait for it. The LBs are signing. The Chief rules.
Two players leave. They see better fits elsewhere. I see a great QB on the bench that will rock the bowl if they open up the offense for him.

Among the best head coaches in the country hahaha. Yea, the guy who thought it would be a good idea to promote a 28 year old to be an OC in the SEC West (home of the best defenses in CFB) and who let our OL deteriorate from one of the best in the college football history in year 1 to bottom 10-20% in the NCAA in year 4 is obviously a coaching mastermind.
The only great thing he's done is hire Chavis and we primarily have Alleva (the LSU AD) and Miles' impotent, ineffective offenses to thank for that.

I agree staff should be paying attention. Your idiot rants and "insider info" are beyond disgraceful.
Let me ask you something before you disappear back into your hole/ parents' basement:
If Spurrier doesn't come to CS, will you promise to never post again on this website?
Please answer.
I'll type this real slow so that even you can understand: when Spurrier is announced as OC, I will be 8 for 8 in naming A&M football targets (coaches and players).
I can't control people changing their minds any more than I could force Kyler to not ask for a transfer. If you want inside information - open my posts. If you want to act all manly and prissy - go cry yourself a river on someone else's thread.
What a total poosy.

Yep, 8 for 8. And that doesn't include calling today's fun and festivities.
What inside information do you have access to? Did you know, before it was public, that we were targeting Bud Foster? I did, posted it here. Did you know, before it was public, that Chavis had signed a contract? I did. Posted it here. Did you know, before it was public, that Daylon Mack privately committed to Chief in January? I did. IM'd people here who publicly acknowledged it. Did you know that Kyler recommitted, before it was public,...
Get the picture? Now, go get a life hater.

I for one was actually suprised by Sumlin's candid answers in the presser, points made (subtle, but made):
1. Offense has issues, he took responsibility
2. Offense will be fixed, just like Defense was fixed last yr..new OC...timing is issue, will get done accordingly.
3. Kyle will start.....and will be allowed to play baseball
I have FAITH!

1) Has nothing to do with Sumlin. Second, who gives a s*** when we're getting curb stomped by Baylor and TCU. Nice big stadium, redesigned primarily so rich Ags could have air conditioned box seats. The price of season tickets is now asinine, especially for a team that doesn't win. Good luck continuing to fill the stands if this goes on much longer.
2) Perhaps the players are overly pampered. Again, if we're losing who cares. Second, have you watched money ball? How much are we spending per win? We train up players so a few can make money in the NFL, what are we getting out of this deal?
3) You keep saying this. People keep saying this. Where is the evidence? I'm a layperson here, would someone mind putting together an argument for me explaining why Sumlin is such a great coach? His interviews are horrible. His management seems quite horrible. Just not seeing it. I literally haven't seen a single thing to even convince me that Sumlin is an average coach, much less a good one, certainly not "among the best." A good CEO or ex-military type leader who's never watched a football game in his life could probably do a better job.
4) Perhaps, although that's another inflated statement. Either way, has very little to do with Sumlin. It doesn't take much to hire someone else. We're paying a guy $5 mil so in 4 years he can make one good hiring decision? We pay a consultant $20 million bucks and for that he tells us, "you should totally hire Chavis, he's a great DC." lol
5) Yawn
6) How's that working out? Double Yawn
7) Correction, routinely "inked," in the past tense. You can thank JFF and the Heisman for that, along with those fancy facilities. Our recruiting will dip big time after this and won't recover until we can put some real numbers on the field. This is all still very new. 2-3 years of decent recruiting is hardly "routine" at this point.
8) This simply isn't a true statement. We beat the sips two years in a row, and that's it, out of how many decades of history? Last year we didn't beat them. Time will tell if we beat them next year, I doubt it. We're starting to have the same kind of meltdown that t.u. had in 2012/2013. And also, I wonder how our rankings in past years would shift if we retroactively drop Allen and Murray from the tally...
2012: t.u. #2, A&M #16
2013: t.u. #8, A&M #20
2014: t.u. #6, A&M #20
2015: t.u. #10, A&M #11
2016: TBD
9) Does that make us the best losers or something? And again, WTF does this have to do with Sumlin? Jack.
10) Huh? What does this have to do with Sumlin? Jack.
11) Gig'em, to a fault in fact. Here's an example of how stupid we are. Even when we're the worst, we tell ourselves we're really the best. Nobody cares. I did my undergrad at A&M, grad student at t.u. right now. I wear my A&M hat regularly. Nobody gives a ****. Our precious rivalry doesn't hardly exist outside of College Station.

quote:Great update. Do you think Spurrier is involved with the Kyler Murray transfer negotiations in that he may want a more traditional style QB and doesn't want to deal with the Kevin Murray drama? Seems like the most obvious explanation to today's (fake) crisis. Can't wait for the first Spurrier press conference.quote:
@Rojo: Can we expect Spurrier's announcement either before or after the Music City Bowl? I only have so many golden tickets...
I have no idea. It was supposed to happen around the SEC Championship game. His is the only name my low friends are aware of that certain people have talked to. Personally, I think Spurrier immediately regretted resigning at USCe, but knew he couldn't take it back. He loves USCe, but hated some things that were coming his way as Head Coach by BMGs that he felt were taking his time away from his team duties. So, a week later when Hyman called, he was all ears. The man is a coach, an offensive genius. It's just taking more time for some reason. My low place friends don't know why - but his is the only name that made it to a certain point.
