Duke bowl game fo sho . . . he single handedly won that game. LaTech game fo sho. In both those games the only reason we won was that he strapped us on his back.

Duke.

I can name more, but rewatch that game and get back to me.

I have seen a lot of stupid things on this board, but that statement by Buford is the stupidest. That is really saying something.

In response to the original post, I think Allen being from Arizona made it a little tougher for him to surpass Murray. Murray is a legacy and a native Texan which makes him easy to follow. Just my .02

So much blinding stupidity on this thread.

"He wasn't swaying with the team", "his body language on the sideline", "clearly there was a divide in the locker room", "he just looked selfish".

You idiots are just making **** up now. Such a bunch of ****ing idiots. Go apologize to your parents for turning out so ****ing stupid.

It's possible many or most on the team didn't like him. If that's the case, that speaks volumes about the overall culture and lack of unity on the team and that's on the head coach. Short of calling out your teammates in public when they played bad, there's absolutely no reason to not play hard or to dislike your QB because he might be a little cocky or confident even when he's only a Sophomore; I thought we wanted that in our QB's and I damn sure thought college football players wanted that in a teammate.

Maybe he is an arrogant, self-absorbed arse on campus and at Northgate. I doubt it, but so what, so was Johnny I'm sure and that didn't seem to affect his teammates' affections for him.

I heard nothing but praise from KA about his teammates in any and all interviews this season. If you think that his use of the word "kid" is condescending, then you have issues yourself whether you're a player or a fan. That is ridiculous.

Only one person on this thread has some accurate info -"rock inspector."

Everybody is way off base.
Players threw a party for Kyle last night!

The locker room is not divided. When game time comes, they all just want to win. It does not matter if you like the guy next to you. Whoever performs the best earns the most respect.

Manziel was an insane hell raiser that was close to very few people. He was respected due to the way he PLAYED- that is all that matters.

100 kids from different parts of the country, different backgrounds trying to win games.

Kyle is leaving due to the poor OLine play, poor offensive scheme, and he did not see himself improving.

Sumlin throwing him under the bus did not help. He played hurt because nobody else could run the sophisticated RPO offense Spav had installed. That situation was handled very poorly.

Kyle is a great young man and is only trying to improve himself in order to meet his goals. ( and of ya'll ever change jobs ).

Until our OLine play, offensive execution, and position coaching improves- it will not matter who plays QB.

Coming from 4 generations of playing college football.

I would imagine WHO was there (starters vs walk ons, true fish) would be telling. If NONE of his starting OL or WR's were there for example. Any insight into that? Or it would make a difference if it was 5 guys or like 20 guys. I know you can't reveal names, but sorry I got to fairly vet this claim.

For you and I maybe not. Every play was a run/ pass option with other audibles. When running a RPO the lineman do not know if it is a run or pass. Our Wr's are running pass routes on run plays. Throw in some audibles, and maybe that is why we have so many blown assignments.

From the stands it looks like we run 3 plays. Wr screen, run up the middle, zone read.

The scheme is sophisticated but it is not good! Unless you attack the middle of the field by throwing seam routes, deep ins, slants, exploiting mismatches with motion-- you are walking backwards.

He never thanked his teammates. KA might do well in the pros because of his size and arm but he doesn't fit the system KS wants to run I think. KA took so long in his delivery. To me he didn't have a quick release, he always handed off on the read-zone, and threw into tight windows. There was always someone open.

We probably all have some sort of connection to the team. What I have been told is that Allen was not close to most of the team.

There are some telling signs. Take a look at last season, in the Allen's first start, the team is on the sideline, and Allen comes in and starts talking to the team, and they just ignore him and walk away. He sat on the bench by himself most of the time, except for Connor and Christian. When he tweeted out he was leaving. He did not mention anything about the staff, or players. He addressed it to the "City of College Station". How weird was that. Only 2 players tweeted Allen; Connor and Christian, after he announced that he was leaving. Out of 104 other players, only 2.

From what I have been told, there were a few players on the team that liked him, but for the most part, he was considered an "outsider". He was not from the state of Texas, and I think he never really bonded.

Maybe some of the guys on the team who liked him gave him a party, but I tend to doubt that this consisted of the majority of the team.

Good luck to him. He has some nfl potential, but he also has a lot of work to do. An nfl arm does not automatically make you a nfl qb. Maybe a lot of it was coaching and if so, maybe he can improve on his accuracy, slow release and reads with a different qb coach.

What I have been told is that most of the team plans to name their firstborn after Kyle. They are staging a mass protest and won't play the bowl game out of loyalty to Kyle.

As one player told me, "we aren't a team without Kyle. He is our heart and soul. He always led us before the game when we swayed together in the locker room, but didn't want to do it in front of the cameras. No homo, but I'd go gay for Kyle."

That's what my sources told me. And my sources are just as good as most of your dumb arses.

Does this mean we can expect Christian Kirk, Speedy Noil, Qualen Cunningham, Donovan Wilson, and all of our other out-of-staters to leave soon?

No. All those guys have "bonded"... You know, because they sway in the tunnel together.
