I went through the program, and they basically brainwash you. When you're in the program you're willing to do anything and everything to win. Really, they start training that mentality in you all the way back in jr high. I think in the entire time I was in high school our team lost 3 games, one of which was our last game on varsity when we lost in the playoffs. We didn't have any crazy talent, I never saw anything sketchy, We just had a group of guys and a group of coaches who were completely bought in.

I grew up in Katy and went to an elementary and junior high that fed into Katy HS before moving to a Cinco (now Seven Lakes) zoned house. I remember the Katy "brainwashing" starting on the elementary level. One day they had some Katy FB players come to school and it was as big of a deal as having an Oilers player come (I know I'm dating myself). Everyone else in Katy ISD finds the Katy buy-in and the full small town style support of the program weird, but since I grew up in it I never thought anything of it.

Blame all of this BS on the coach. KHS did not need this player. They were doing just fine without him. Coach should protect the quest for the state title and all of the efforts and hard work of his team. He should have not allowed the kid on the team until spring.

No offense to those of you from there, but.....

**** Katy. If this had been Skyline or Spring or SA Jay, their season would be over.
