Assuming there's not much of a discussion about this going on on premium? Since there's a lot of stars hanging out here.
quote:Let's be clear . . . the past two seasons. Remember, he was expected to challenge for the SEC East last year, so clearly the national perception was that he was still a coaching whiz. He's had a couple of down years, partly because we spanked them on national TV last year (but they still put up points on us).
Somebody explain to me why Spurrier would even be a good choice for OC. I respect the guy but he is getting up there in years, and clearly hasn't been all that effective as a coach the past few seasons.

quote:No way. If he's the OC/QB coach, he's going to be on the sideline up in his QB's grill.
Spurrier calling plays from the press box could work. I can't think of anyone who would bring more experience or would be a better mentor to our players and coaches. This would be huge for recruiting and would put our football program front and center on the national stage. Genius move if true. I'm in!

Lol. Guy makes crazy guess on DC that actually turned out to be true. Now he is thought of as an insider.

I have a hard time seeing two strong personalities like Sumlin and the HBC on the same staff coexisting.
But the timing of his resignation and Rojo's post is . . . interesting.
