A similar search for "McAdoo Old Time Religion" yielded nothing interesting - at least in the first 3 or 4 links. I got bored with it after that.

No question in my mind - Rojo is talking about McAdoo.

You guys all glossed over the fact that there is a guy on this thread wondering if Chad Morris played for our 98 Big 12 Title team. Am I the only the old here? Is that why I'm the only one that noted it as a ridiculous question?

What if it's Pinkel? When he announced he was stepping down, he said he's known for a while. Maybe him and Christensen are super tight (Mattison Durkin type thing) and wanted to get the band back together. It would also make sense as far as HUGE, and the SEC championship game restriction. Plus, it does seem like that's the O CKS wants.

Rarely does the HC get fired but others stay on the job. I would guess that they clean house.

Also, although not as big as our OC hire, I wonder if Chavis will make any changes to the defensive staff.

I am getting nervous with the way this coaching carousel is going. There are way more good job openings than experienced HCs to fill the slots.

Wish Rojo would just confirm nothing has changed for our situation.

I can't see him making that move. He's going to get a shot at a major HC job right from where he is.

If I was Danny white I would hire Stitt to coach UCF. With the talent pool there he could really turn them into a huge contender IMO.

A "Doh" moment... Date Of Hire?

Regardless of who the eventual hire is, I think its pretty clear the hints point to Spurrier. I can see Sumlin and Spurrier hanging out preseason at the SEC media days and throwing out this what-if crazy idea that became not so crazy as time wore on (which made a resignation prior to their game against us a smart or just morally conscious move)

I can see an older guy wanting to shed himself of the cumbersome aspects of being a head coach to focus on the finer points of one last shot. I think he did as good as he could with the players he got at SC but is licking his chops at the kind of recruits we are/can be getting here. I think the situation, and what I perceive their (Sumlin/Spurrier) relationship to be like, is something that makes this very unusual idea possible.

And I can see this all being one of the most successful texags trolls of all time, to be memorialized with quotes, misspelled references, and i told you so's for years to come.

But I also agree with many, that it is very interesting and fun - something that watching the last half of the Spav "offensive" season has NOT been.

Does soothsayer say if the new OC can make the new OL block?
