Wow. I'm an old fart and I loved the unis. I wouldn't want to see them every game, but once a year? Heck yeah!

I also liked the throw back unis.

Heck, some of y'all are so adverse to change that you pitched a fit over the stripes down the sleeve, never mind the fact that Bellard introduced those and had some of the most successful teams we've had in post war era.

If the players like them, the recruits like them, the coaches like them, and most fans like them, it doesn't matter if you or I like them.

I never comment on uniforms and basically dont give a crap but those black things suck.

My all time favorite uniforms were the 39' throw backs.

I'm waiting for the day they bring back the lightning bolts on the sides of the helmets

For all those that like alternative colors (especially black)... why have school colors?

Let's be the first college to change our school colors every year so that we can be cool and fashion forward in order to get the best recruits. In fact let's change our school logo every year too. Can you imagine how good our recruits would be!

Good lord, it was one game. It's nice to change things up once in awhile. I wouldn't want to go the Oregon or Baylor route, but I like the special uni at least once per year. Black is the best alternative color option as well.

We haven't even done a lot of combos with the maroon/white options like in the last few years.

Not to mention it was an idea for Halloween. When is the last time a game fell directly on this "holiday"?

I also don't like alternate colors typically. I didn't like the previous black jerseys from last year but loved the black helmets that faded into maroon. Today's entire uniform got high marks for me.

All-blacks looked absolutely amazing. Blacking out the letters on the field was a nice touch, too.

In 1957 and 1958 black was used on Aggie helmets. The shell was white and black numbers were on the side. Similar to what Alabama has

You misunderstood. I don't have an opinion about the uniforms. Because it literally doesn't matter what any of us thinks.

Defense played well enough to win the game. As they have done all season.

The helmets looked like we tried to spray Krylon over the old ones and didn't have enough paint

Exactly what I meant. I'm sure adidas did that to have maroon be somewhat a part of the jersey

I believe that some negative opinions may have changed had it been a night game. I didn't care for them at first, but warmed up to them after my young sons started giving them high marks and the field lights towards the end of the game started to illuminate the helmets in select moments of the television footage.

I did not like the black uniforms. I don't hate them.
I had rather see our players on all of our sport teams wear uniforms of our colors. Black is just not one of our colors.
