Why do we use a photo of Chavis in an LSU shirt in our official announcement?

^^Because apparently no one in sports media can get an up to date photo of people.

I'll see on ESPN, Yahoo, 247 sports, etc. all with old pictures even on gameday box scores, it's like wtf!!

What a moron. He lowballed Chavis when a direct competitor was going to pay big bucks for a top DC. He can go **** himself and I hope Les holds them to every bit of the buyout when they fire him.

I think Chavis to LB and Hagan to DT is actually not bad. DTs is more of Hagan's forte.

Actually, I'd wager Miles lasts longer than Alleva. He's about 3/4s of the way to a full-blown Dollar Bill Byrne melt-down.

I'm sure with Haley moved to Administration, and still being on the payroll... it was as much about unloading Haley, as keeping him from going to A&M.

Think about it... they have to pay Haley and was holding a buyout from Chavis, as a trade marker. If someone picks up Haley, LSU doesn't have to pay Haley and so letting Chavis go without being a beotch ends the story.

Good moves all around on the defensive coach reassignments, IMO.

Makes sense for Price to coach just the DEs. That was his assignment at Ole Miss 1995-98 and at Auburn 1999-2008.

Same goes for Hagen and the DTs. He coached DTs for many more years than he coached LBs.

Can't wait to see how this arrangement works out...

I work in south Louisiana, and the amount of "Y'all can have him" comments I get about it has me in stitches. Same guys that touted him last year.

Were there some games the D didn't perform? Yes, a few, and I won't make the excuses, but there are plenty.

Are there games the O didn't perform? That's where the conversation gets interesting. Chavis kept their heads above water. Recruit all you want, but gotta put it on the field.

Official hiring of Chavis is official! :-)
