This thread should have ended at the mention of Darren Lewis (see disclaimer below).
If this is thread about nice guys at RB? Rodney Thomas. RB with the most touch downs? Jaborski Laine. RB that did it all? Joel from the 1920s. All around athelete that also played RB? JDC or Joel. Favorite RB? JDC.
But if it's about RB - the player that carries the rock, and who was the best at it while wearing the maroon and white, how does someone not conclude that Tank and his 5000 plus yard career, #1 rusher at A&M, #2 touchdowns by an Texas Aggie RB, #1 All Time Rusher in the Southwest Conference (more than Earl Campbell, Barry Sanders, to drop a few names of some of the greatest of all times. Seriously, do you really think the sips have a #1 other than Earl, or that 0SU has a #1 that's not Barry Sanders), and #20 all time in the NCAA, not the best at A&M? A lot of folks mention Dickey, but he is ranked 169 and there are 1400 yards that separate the two.
Most of the posters on this thread must be using some other way to measure it. And that's OK if you want to talk about the best Texas Aggie RB including their NFL career.
Now if we want to talk about the biggest loser in life that was a Texas Aggie RB. Well, sadly Lewis has that distinction too. It's more than a shame, but it was his choices and it's clear that it tainted his legacy.
Rant over.
