And then make an offer on the Boyd in-home while he's sitting on their couch, that he knows very well would be coined as "desperate", if he didn't know he's getting Boyd (and with Boyd possibly Hill) by doing it.
He's literally in their home talking to them, if Boyd wasn't planning on coming to A&M there's no reason for Sumlin to offer today IMO. It would be pretty easy for Sumlin to simply say they haven't fully evaluated Demarco yet. I just don't see Sumlin bending over just hoping this kid comes and throwing an emotional hail Mary. He's never done it before, and I don't think that's what happened today.
