No need to ever play that school again. If we do in a bowl, it should be in a major bowl or playoff. Not a consolation bowl.

I would not mind a home & home series, but prefer our current OOC slate. Playing one national team we have not played forever & 3 cupcakes.

I don't think us winning by 14+ over Texas would have had a bigger impact on recruiting than Arky absolutely stomping them.

In the BDF we would have been undefeated in 2012 & gone to a BCS or the Cotton Bowl in '13. I do not know how we would have done this year.
Now that the playoff system is effective, the Big-12 'One True Champion' Co-Champs will have to content itself with sniffing the dirty jocks of the Big-4 conference players.

Mother **** t.u. playing them again plays into exactly what they want. When we went to the SEC they didnt want to plays us because they thought we would suck and need to play them for relevancy. Now they need to be relevant and they want to play us. Hmmmmm i wonder what has changed since 2012? Yeah never want to play them again. Im fine with the occasional bowl meeting, but those that want to play them again need to run a check.

Count this Ag as another that hopes to never play them again (outside a bowl game).

Their (arrogance) unwillingness to continue the series once we moved was their downfall. We don't need them. And as others have pointed out the refs seemed to always be on their side. Hell, they wouldn't have won the last game if it wasn't for the BS targeting penalty (but that crap happened every time we played 'em) . They will gain relevancy again, but I see no reason why A&M should have any part it. F THEM!

Well we could have played them in a bowl game had our AD been persistent in making it happen
That's BS. Arkansas needed that game after a two year bowl drought. And Jeff Long is also head the CFP Committee. No way Slive would have told Long, "Nope, this is Hyman's."
I agree with Hawg. The pigs wanted a piece of that, and they took a whole side of beef.

You don't understand why we aren't playing them. It's not about the current team. It's about a history of disadvantage in size and money, arrogance, and public perception of "the state university" being in Austin. One of the primary reasons A&M is overcoming that history now is it's divorce from tu. The only way to get rid of the albatross is to completely cut the cord. The Aggies now have a national identity that is not tied to tu. The timing was really good as Johnny Football gave us a spotlight. The SEC move turned out to be a big advantage that tu cannot take away and they are realizing it too late. The laughed at us at the time. They thought they would make all of the decisions for A&M and "take care of you". This is why we are not playing them and the benefits of the decision are not only dramatic but they are being realized much sooner than most imagined. When i went to A&M tu was three times its size in enrollment and A&M was five years into being a co-ed university that was not all military. Picture South Carolina playing Citadel in the same conference (The Citadel is in SC). That is a good analogy of where we were and why we needed to do something to change perception. We don't need to beat them on the field to prove anything. I am not in favor of playing them again on a regular basis.

It was a better match-up for Hogs than us.

Hogs: good run defense, bad pass defense. steerl: could not pass, had to run. Advantage Arky.

stear: average run defense, strong pass defense. Arky: great run offense, weak passing offense. Also advantage Arky.

Ags: offensive strength (greater of 2 strengths) passing, defensive strength (or lesser of 2 weaknesses) pass game. Arky had the match-up edge on both sides of the ball. Match ups would have favored the sips on both sides of the ball against us.

WV was interesting in that they did not allow a lot of yards per pass attempt, but also did not get a lot of sacks. They had an average run defense. Not getting a good pass rush hurt them. Allen completed 63% even against their good secondary.

On offense, they had a good passing game, average run game, but they gave up a lot of sacks. Again, favorable match up. They broke some big plays, but we won third downs.

Relax, its really silly to even think about starting the series again. Within 30 years football will be outlawed and considered too rough within Austin city limits. Really no point

If we had curbstomped them as hard as Arky did we would have gotten EVERYONE, INCLUDING Malik.
