You should stick to twitter feeds. "NSD" is the first day he could submit his letter of intent. 0.000000% chance he does it before that date.

Chips on whorn radio in ATX reporting that Kyler will be hosting Charlie for an in-home Friday. If true, looks like this could go all the way to NSD.

Why schedule an on home at the end while committed to the Ags. It just adds fuel to the fire. Shut it down,

Regardless of what happens on Feb 4th, less than four weeks ago we signed THE most important person to our program over the next several years. He's bit older than most recruits.

Because you never want to quit without exploring all options. Even bad options are worth listening to sometimes if you think there is a slim chance.

Then don't commit, especially for 7 months, and then spark this drama. My little brain hurts. I'm gonna do some work and forget this saga for a while.

I do hope Sumlin and Spav have at least told Jake Hubenak that they're interested in him and that he should hear from them no later than February 5th.

I share your sentiments.

Exactly.

Apparently a lot of kids today don't understanding the meaning of "Commit".

Just because TAMU hasn't publicly pursued another top shelf QB doesn't mean Sumlin hasn't lined up a juco qb or hs prospect behind the scenes in case Murray flips regardless of what Murray does. Any coach who doesn't have contingency plans is taking a very big risk and is a dang fool.
True, but that doesn't mean the coaches promised to shut down recruiting if Kyler committed and opened up it as soon as they knew he was having second thoughts. According to the sips this has been in the works since right after the texas bowl.

I definitely believe any back up plans could be kept silent by this staff. They did that to a tee with the coaching searches. I think if we hear about a backup option publicly before signing it means the coaches are letting the public now Kyler isn't coming.

I totally agree we need a back up if Kyler signs just due to the MLB threat/having the option to redshirt him.

The sips I know believe heard is transferring if Kyler flips. That would be huge risk to the sips because MLB is a threat and if Kyler is offered a couple of million to play baseball, he is going to play it. The whorns aren't putting that much into buying the Murrays. Sure they might get guys like Mack and Lodge but they would basically have swoopes and no one else next year. Then they are looking at a losing record again for sure. swoopes would transfer if anyone would take him as a QB.

I'm pretty positive my wife starts most arguments with a sentence just like this.... "It's not that _____, I don't think you will, I am worried about what happens if you do."

Totally agree, OP. KM absolutely NOT leave us on NSD. He'll give us AT LEAST 24-48 hours notice.

I think it will be clear by the end of this week. He will stay committed or decommit (though not necessarily go straight to the whorns), so we can move on.

I think all this "there's no way he's flipping" BS is totally counterproductive. Of course there's a real, distinct possibility he flips. If you honestly are one of the "Oh he's just messing with tu" crowd, you've really throwing logic out for sunshine.

Strong has thrown all his chips in on this one player. He has lost a great QB to Michigan. IF Murray sticks with us, they are 100% hosed (unless they can get that Florida QB to decommit from F State).

I am positive that Sumlin is making insurance plans in case KM breaks bad. I am especially disheartened to learn that tu will have the last at home visit with KM (on Friday). But that could also be BS.

Bottom line- trust in coaches. Prepare for the worst (Murray flipping and getting all 7 other big recruits still on the board to go with him) and hope for the best (Murray honoring his pledge and leaving tu with an empty cupboard at QB).

"Kyler projects as a first-round pick," Coe said of the June baseball draft. "And the way it's been going right now - we're meeting with a lot of baseball clubs, and that projection is pretty strong. There's a really good chance he could go anywhere from top 15 to top five."

Last year's No. 15 selection, for instance, pitcher Sean Newcomb, signed with the Angels for about $2.5 million.

Nobody knows what's going to happen, but if you don't think there's a war going on behind the scenes, you're being naive. the fact is that he went to visit them and despite that weak statement to the DMN, the Murray's have not quashed this thing. AND if you think Texas was going to sit by idly while we prospered and they sunk to the abyss, well, they're not...this is their reaction. The good news is there is sufficient time for us to act...

Why should the Murrary's say anything. He has been asked if he is committed and said yes, after the uov!!! He has a life. He is a Sr. in high school. What proof is there that he has not been talking to other recruits and trying to bring them in here?

Regardless of what some may think, he really does not need to respond to a bunch of whiny babies that think he should put a stop to speculation about his commitment. All of th is crap is enought to make him switch, if he was on here reading it.

kyler's third undefeated season ended, he picked up his Gatorade POY trophy and realized that if he stuck with A&M, he will be the back up the next two years. He's running all the way to austin to get away from Kyle Allen. Stinks that he waited this long, but when the cheering stopped after the state championship game, the fear got louder.
