Not even remotely true.

description of easterwood airspace
now that you mention it, i was within the 5 NM radius of the class D airspace. BUT, if the control tower was non-operational that day, then the airspace becomes class G and it's fine.
i would be surprised if they send me a letter for flying @ 340' almost 2 miles from the airport. if they do, it'll be a warning.
quote:Wow!!! Thanks for that. sucks I had to take it down. Someone did a nice remix to it with "Sail" which seems to still be up.quote:

1) if it is anything, it's a civil offense and all that could happen is i would get a fine. this isn't a criminal offense, so felon wouldn't be possible.
2) only two people have ever been fined by the FAA for inappropriate UAV/drone usage. another person was arrested for flying into a stadium, but i didn't go into the stadium and it wasn't in use so i couldn't be charged for that.
thanks for your thoroughly informed and well-evidenced comments....(that's sarcasm, in case you didn't pick up on that).
Nice job thinking ahead and buying stars so you weren't maxed out by the 5 post limit. This allowed you to maximize your exposure time to prospective clients. You should have bought an ad though as it would have given you even more exposure to your product, but I can understand operating with a limited budget.
Helms' video was way better than yours though IMO. He did a much better job filming the stadium. But, good luck with your marketing campaign. Onward and upward.

i'm not really into talking about subjects i have no credibility talking about...

Great shots of the Rick Perry academic building

We might have had an ugly season, but at least our campus - and football stadium - is looking hellah good (hooray for wealthy former students!)
SO, I sent up my new quadcopter/drone into the aggie nation skies to film the campus from above.
You can see the video on my website (at the bottom of the page): Houston From the Air
update:
- yes there are much better produced videos out there than this one
- sorry if the music isn't to your liking
- it's on my website only because I couldn't figure out how to get the HD, 1080p video quality to work on youtube
- yes it's probably too long and gets boring in the middle, but it was raining off and on so I couldn't get all the shots I wanted.
Enjoy and gig 'em!

Aggie nation!?!?
quote:I mean I put the post on the "football" forum because (IMHO) I thought that there are some pretty cool shots of Kyle Field in the video that I thought aggie football fans would enjoy. I haven't talked about the recruits because there's already another post going on about that. anyway, why do you keep coming back to comment on this post if it offends you so much?
hey so called "Aggie", houstonfromtheair.
Did you realize that we lost a couple pretty big recruits today and that is really the topic that we want to discuss on our board? Why don't you contact the staff of this website and buy some ads. They would be happy to take your money.
All you want to do is talk about your little airplane. You haven't said jack about anything football related.
