This is year three. Regardless of what JFF and crew did the first two years, year three is the year a new coach should start being evaluated. His recruits are upperclassmen now and he's had plenty of time to get his system in place. It's also not like the cupboard was bare either.
I'm not so sure I like what I see in year three under Sumlin. I still think Sumlin is a good coach and can bre great but there had better be some marked improvement in year four or I'll jump to the group calling for a change. Marked improvement means winning a majority of our home games(I don't expect a win vs Bama next year), no blowout losses(at least competitive in losses), and double digit wins with a bowl win.
I'm realistic and don't expect an MNC every season but I do expect a consistent top 10 competitor each year starting with year three. Hell, maybe that's still too much to expect.
